Once we get her fixed will she be more loving to everyone?

Please help us... We have "rescued" a baby kitten towards the end of last year. She wasn't very social at the time, (several guard dogs we her neighbors) We already had a pom that wanted to play with her. They have adjusted to each other, and have turned out to be good playmates. Now it seems that during different times of the day and NIGHT the cat meows, and meows, and meows. She will let you hold her (on her terms ONLY!) She has frest water, litter box, and fed @ 4 times a day...(since she doesn't eat much at a time. She doesn't have her 4 frount teeth yet) We have not had her fixed yet. Plan on getting this done in about 2 weeks. Will she settle down, once she is fixed? She acts like if given the chance, she would run and NEVER LOOK BACK! Since she didn't ask to come live with us, I want to do right by her. Is this some cats normal behavior? We love "Sylvester" very much. Some times I can put in in my bathrobe in the morning, and she will snuggle down and poke her head out and enjoy the ride...
Any advice...

So very sorry to hear about the accident with the underage drunk driver. (At any age it still would not matter.)

Who knows what is going on in the intersection @ Cleburn Pkwy? I see some ploice lights and some red lights flashing...
