  1. I am the owner and chief instructor at the Choi Kwang-Do school on Dallas Hwy. in front of the new Walmart (by Hibbett Sports and Cato). I would love to have your son come in and try 2 weeks free to see if this style is one he would like to try. You can check out our schedule at www.ckdwestcobbga.com. He would be in the adult class or family class.

I have been teaching in the area for 20 years and am a 5th degree black belt. I also have a degree in physical education and teaching people is what I love to do!!

Choi Kwang-Do is one of the fastest growing martial arts in the world. Grandmaster Choi, the founder, was in Tae Kwon Do, but in 1988 he formed his own art and changed the moves to be more fluid and natural which makes the moves actually stronger with less effort. It is more realistic than a tournament art. Come give us a try and see what you think!

They are learning to kick and punch, but our focus is on teaching confidence, self-discipline, respect for authority and teaching them to set and achieve goals. Also, it is just plain fun!!

    Hi everyone,

I just wanted to let you know that after trying several other martial art forms, myself and my daughters decided on Choi Kwang-Do (this was quite a few years ago.)

This is a awsome form of martial arts. I am a 1st degree black belt and so are both of my daughters and grandson. We haven't been in several years because we all moved to Hiram and the school was too far to travel, but since they now have one close to us, I think you should give them a try.

  2. Anyone know where to go thats warm and fun?

I'm a new commerce member to PCOM, so I hope it is ok to suggest. If not, I guess I'll be hearing from PUBBY...

Gorga Monkey's Jump and Play - It's an indoor inflatable jump and play center - It is fun & cheap and you can stay as long as you like. I think the kids would love it.

    The web site is http://GorgaMonkeys.com

  3. You are such a great person yourself! I felt right at ease around you and really enjoyed our visit. Glad you liked the soap and lotion!!! I had to make sure you got something for yourself after taking care of everyone else in your family!!

I finally got caught up on all the Easter Basket and internet orders last night about 9:30 and my feet were killing me this morning, so I took a 4 hour nap! I've been on my feet too much over the last week and eventually, I have to stay off them for a while...sometimes even a couple of days. :( Thats why I didn't have Shelby this week overnight and keep her the next day. Maybe next week I can do that and come over and see you guys! I KNOW SHE WILL LOVE IT THERE!!! We will no doubt be "regulars" there!

I'm glad you have been busy this morning! That is a good thing!! I'm always thankful for all the orders I get and staying so busy. I know it is the same with you...even if it is hectic at times.

You take care and I'll talk to you very soon! Oh! I hope you have a GREAT turn out tonight!

    Hi Scarlet,

I know you are relaxing, but I have a quick question. How do I PM you?

    Denise

  4. I use C&M in Hiram and they are WONDERFUL :)

We use Wachovia and no real problems there. However, we us C&M for our business account and I agree with the above - They are WONDERFUL. I love that fact that they know you and greet you by name when you walk in. Makes me feel special.

  5. Well CRAP!!! Thought I might get a break from my boys before I do have the baby but my youngest is not 3 yet. :(

Not a problem.... Because of parents request, any age will be fine.... I think this would be a wonderful break for you tonight. You need to rest and be ready for your sweet little girl.

If you have any questions at all, call me at 770-439-2277. My name is Denise and I am one of the owners.... :D

  6. Well we already have plans, but I will say my kiddos LOVE Gorga Monkey's Their 'card' is almost full so they are excited about getting one in free soon!! I love that you can leave to eat and come back and such!! When our foster baby left we wanted to have a fun day with our 6 & 8 year old and that's what they wanted to do was "PLEASE GO TO Gorga Monkey's" THANKS for a fun time provided on what could have been a rough day for them!! Their Daddy even had fun on the well waxed slide!!

Thank you so much. We love it when the children & PARENTS have fun. We love to see all the smiles and hear all the laughter and screams of excitement. We just wanted to have a place for children to have fun that will not break the parents pocket books.

I'm sorry you can't make it tonight, but we hope to have another "Parents Night Out" within the month. I know the children are going to have a blast. And our employees can't wait. They all wanted to work tonight.

Thank you again, and see you soon.

    Denise

As the President of Gorga Money’s Jump & Play (3405 Florence Circle SW, Powder Springs, GA 30127) I would like to say “Thank You” to everyone who has taken the time to post to this forum about their experiences with Gorga Monkey’s. As you may know, we opened our doors in January of this year and strive to make every child’s visit a fun and happy experience.

After reading the JBrigman post, I thought I would take a moment to explain that we DO value both positive AND constructive criticism because it allows us to focus on the things that really matter to you (the customer), and your feedback gives us the opportunity to know what you like, what you don’t like plus, we learn where things could stand improvement.

In my opinion, there is a difference between accurate criticism and inaccurate criticism, so I thought I would respond with facts and let you decide.

Wrist Band Security – We realize that this is one of those things that people either love or hate. When you and the children arrive at Gorga Monkey’s Jump and Play, you are asked to complete a waiver and the staff outfits everyone in your group with security coded wrist band. Yes, even the little ones and the grandparents (everyone in your group). While putting a little stamp on your children’s’ hand might work for other places, Gorga Monkey’s takes security very seriously. The wrist bands at Gorga Monkey’s tie back to the waiver which also has contact information and serves to ensure that if you come in with your two kids, you leave with your two kids.

Drinks and snacks are permitted at Gorga Monkeys however we simply ask that they be consumed in the designated area. Drinking fountains are centrally located in the play arena and drink and snack machines are located near the lobby entrance. What Gorga Monkey’s does not allow however, is food brought in from the outside that could result in stains or damage to the facility. What you may not know is that if you want to leave to grab some lunch or dinner, the front desk staff simply marks the security log that you have gone out for lunch or dinner and will be back. Since there are no time limits at Gorga Monkey’s, you are not charged again when you return from lunch or dinner.

Rules of Play – A very large yellow “rules of play” sign is posted and visible to everyone that comes into the facility as well as re-enforced in the terms and conditions portion of the waiver which reads in part ("...I shall comply with all stated and customary terms, posted safety signs, rules, and verbal instructions as conditions for participating in any party and/or program). If a child does not comply with the rules, [and this happens, because sometimes the little ones simply don’t know the rules] they are provided with an explanation and verbal instructions by the arena staff. Most of the time, the explanation includes why a particular rule exists, for example, “You cannot go down the slide head first because you could hurt yourself. We don’t want you to get hurt, so you need to slide down on your bottom OK?”. If an incident occurs a second time, usually the parent is made aware of the situation by the arena staff and given an opportunity to re-enforce the rules with the child. If, after all that, the child breaks the rules again, then a check mark is issued on the wrist band of the child. Last weekend, Gorga Monkeys was moderately busy both days yet only a total of 4 single check mark warnings were enforced. That means less than 2% of all kids that play at Gorga Monkey’s require rule enforcement that results in a wrist band check mark. 98% of the time it is the parents that ensure that their children follow the rules and instructions of the arena staff. Also, I would just like to point out, that ALL of these “rules” are implemented for the protection and safety of the children.

Some of the key reasons to consider Gorga Monkey’s Jump and Play are:

Safety - Gorga Monkey's Jump & Play takes safety and security very seriously.

Location – Conveniently Located in Powder Springs – only Minutes away from downtown Hiram and Powder Springs.

We offer more hours of "Open Play". Some competitors offer restricted open play time, others require that you to call first (because they might be closed for a private party). We believe open play is very important to most parents.

Best Value - Gorga Monkey's always provides a good value

A family owned and operated business with a focus on customer satisfaction and fun.

Our parties can accommodate a group of 5-20 children (small room) to 40 children in the larger party room.

Our competition puts limits on how early kids can arrive before a party. At Gorga Monkey's, party guests can arrive as early as they like !!!

We offer a Gorga Monkey's Frequent Jumper card. Pay for 5 visits and get the 6th visit free.

Unlike other places, we have decided not to offer concessions, arcade games or retail merchandise. By doing this, you can be assured of a day of fun without all that extra pressure and cost.

Since opening, Gorga Monkey's has had many, many children grace our doors, and we've also had a very large number of birthday parties. The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive (with some exceptions obviously). I would hope that you give us a chance and experience Gorga Monkey's Jump & Play for yourself and your children.

I am confident that you and your children will leave the facility a happy customer.
