  1. Let me tell you again. My white oak tree looks wonderful since you trimmed it up for me. It is great to have all those limbs not hanging over the house and garage. My tree is happy, my gutters are happy and I'm happy.

    Thanks again!!

So glad we could help!! :)

Maybe you won't have to spend your time raking all those leaves now, and can work on the more enjoyable parts of your new house! :clapping:

  2. While wind and hail often cause direct damage to property, surrounding

trees can cause damage when wind blows limbs from a tree, or blows an

entire tree onto the home. When looking at the trees around your home, do

they have any of these characteristics?

    - Cracks in the trunk or major limbs

    - Hollow or decayed

    - One-sided or leaning significantly

    - Branches hanging over the house or near the roof

    - Mushrooms growing from the bark, indicating a decayed or weakened

    stem

    - V-shaped forks rather than U-shaped ones - V-shaped are more likely

    to split

If your trees have any of these characteristics, you should consider

trimming or removing them. The trimming or removal would be at your

expense, but could save future cost and inconvenience.

It's been a minute since we've had an ice storm, and with as wet as the weather has been this year, we might be in for a big one in the next couple of months! Let us take care of your tree removal and trimming today!!

  3. I was thinking about attending this workshop. Where is the PCCOC located?

It is on 278 near the intersection at 61. If you are coming from Hiram, you will travel 278 going towards Dallas. Once you pass through the light at 61, look to your left. You will see the Health Dept. and the Chamber. You will have to pass them and go to the next light, and do a U turn and come back to it. Very simple to find.

Jason will be there attending this also.

  5. Actually, you are responsible for the tree. Your homeowner's insurance will be the one having to take care of this. The only way around this is if you see a neighbor with a dead tree, you would have to send them a certified letter asking them to take care of it before it falls and does damage to your property. If not, it makes no difference who the tree belonged to.

Sorry but we have been doing these claims for years and that is the way it is.

  6. All of our stuff is still in the back of the car. My 2 teens spent the night other places, and my 10 yo is asleep in the living room. He will sleep a while longer.

I am also not into it this year. I went to Wal-Mart last night in Rockmart, and they were wiped clean. NO chocolate bunnies of any kind. I had to get bags of regular candy and will divide them among 5 baskets. One for each kid, plus 2 more for the teens best friends who won't do anything at their homes and they are a HUGE part of our family, so I am doing a basket for them also.

My youngest will get a video game in his basket this morning, but shhhhhhh, don't tell the others because they aren't getting anything like that this year. They have been going and doing all Spring Break and have gotten enough money from us. The youngest has done very little because mom and dad have been working. I was thinking of taking him to see the new Fast and Furious movie. That may still happen.

  7. They said it was supposed to, and get up to 65, but lordy it feels so cold out there. I put on capris and sandals before going to work this morning. I just got home, and I am changing my clothes. My feet are frozen.

  8. We got the last 27 minutes of the story line. HELLO??? Sorta missed the "flash" of the "point". :(

I know. That is so frustrating. It's not like last night was interrupted by some national news, it was just local. That means the rest of the country watched it so the network isn't going to replay them. Do we know if Comcast is going to show this too?

  9. It is already full of stress.. Cracked windows to my house, no power upstairs, my grill and a tv and cable box are dead. IS trying to figure out who to call 1st . I guess my house insurance but idk

That's what I would do. When we have to go out for storm damage jobs, the insurance adjuster always has to come out first. Don't do anything without talking to them first.

  10. Now that my new Accord is dented like a golf ball, could I just take it to a Line-X truck bed sprayer, and have my car painted in that stuff. That would make it look like a stealth fighter....Then it'd be hail proof. I wonder if it would absorb Police Radar :)

LOL Maybe - if they were still in business, but I don't think they are doing that anymore. That's what I heard anyway. Could be wrong.

  11. I was there last night, but before the rain came in.

I LEFT my big desktop checkbook there one time in my buggy. I didn't notice it for 2 days. When I do notice and remembered that was the last place I had used it, I went in and they were holding it for me at customer service. Did you check with them?

did ya'll check at kroger to see if it was turned in ?

    Great minds!! LOL

I'm sure they have, but we had to ask didn't we?
