  1. Hello Everyone! My name is Tammy Floyd.

There is a new consignment store in the Hiram area. It is NU2U Consignment. We are located at 3339 Jimmy Lee Smith Pkwy. 770-672-0769.

Beside C. Adams Insurance. We have infant, children, and women's clothing and more. We even have some great furniture pieces

    with great prices.

We are looking for Consigner's. In need of baby stroller/car seat combo's, walkers, exersaucer, highchairs, etc.

Come on in and browse. As we say "Out with the old and into NU-2-U" Look forward to meeting you.

Do you need any infant girls clothing or a pack n play?

  2. You are right in regards to all of those scenarios. My tax dollars should be used to assist those who are truly in need. However, the reality is that most people are starting to use these social welfare programs as just a means to support their lifestyle. These parasites do not view this as a temporary crutch but rather a permanent way of life. That is what angers people like me. I guess it boils down to are you giving someone a fish or are you teaching them how to fish?

When I was an a young apprentice, I remember my foreman telling me "...son, I can teach you how to build this building from the ground up, but I can't teach your damn ass to get out of bed and get here to learn. That is up to you."

I get out off bed while others roll over, and look for what the government will provide them today.

Are you offering a job to someone that needs it?

  3. Center for Puppetry Arts has free admission on Thursday afternoons.

Check the Braves Museum, they sometimes offer free admission.

Martin Luther King national historic site, Att&t telephone museum , Robert C. William Paper Museum, and the Museum of Design are free always. You can tour WSB-TV and the Georgia State Capital for free. If they are here on July 2 Booth Western Museum offers free admission from 4-7. There are other free things that you might want to do with your own kids. The first Tuesday of the month at Imagine It! is free. The High Museum offers free days occasionally, if you check their website.

  4. I use the big phone company and have my services bundled, but was thinking of changing phone companies and might want to change internet providers. So I was wondering who others used. I want to go cheaper, if possible.

  5. We did MK last year in one day and saw everything that we wanted to see except the Haunted Mansion. It was closed for repair. Lilo and Stitch scared my kids to death. It was totally dark and they make it feel like Stitch is running around spitting on you. The kids hated it (two 8 yr olds, and down). We didn't do autographs because we didn't want to wait forever in line. My kids weren't bothered by it. Also i have to agree that it is best to start in the back and work up. Fast pass is awesome and if you plan it right you don't have to wait that long for any ride. We went 4th of July so it was really crowded and the fireworks show at the end was worth it. It was great. My 3 year old didn't enjoy MK and left after an hour or so. She was too hot, I think. Take ponchos just in case of rain. They are really expensive there.

  6. ok, before people start jumping all over certain teachers - stop and think: if students across the board at all of the middle schools failed the test, then the problem doesn't come from a specific teacher - it may come from the change from qcc to gps. it also may come from the new textbook adoption. also, there are a lot of students who work very hard and do a great job and may or may not have passed. however, is your child one of the one's who is a distraction in class? is your child one of the one's who doesn't do their homework? does your child come in for tutoring? does your child ask for help? or does your child sit back and expect that everything will be handed to them. i'm not calling out individual parents. i want parents to stop and think about their specific child in a classroom setting. and please, stop calling teachers by name - it's not nice.

oh, and the kids were not "guinea pigs" for gps - all of the subject areas are moving from qcc to gps...language arts was the first a few years ago. all subject areas will be gps. no one is being "laboratory tested."

last thought for the moment - new programs have to be given a chance. in education, new programs usually take about 3 years to show results. what ends up happening is a major drop in scores the first year, and then gradual gains until things get back to normal around year 3. stop the witch hunt.

    Great post

  7. I get mine at the Bass Pro Shops. The one in Nashville has Orange Moon Pies! They are my favorite. I got a box of the chocolate ones at the bread store in Mableton....

TN is the birth place for moon pies. You can find them about anywhere in Tn.

  8. When will she be five? I may have something for you but not sure. There is a cheerleading camp that someone at school is doing, it starts at 5 but she may be willing to let her slide depending on what her numbers. Let me check and I will get back to you tomorrow. It's just a week long but it is cheap and would at least be something. If you are interested.
