  1. Okay, we have been yard saling and selling on ebay since 1999. We Always check the AJC and of course the neon signs are great. Just good direction signs.

If we follow and follow the signs and there has not been enough signs, oh well, we turn around. Hope this helps.

Craig'slist.com is the best. Its free and people are always on their.Title it in big letters with a few big things first and then right etc.-Keeps their interest peeked.THen maybe post a few pics.Make sure you write that there is a little bit of everything and how long it has been in the house. People get excited about that. Also get FLourescent pink or green signs with estate sale-day/time/locations-Make sure they are 6-8 ft behind telephone pole or DOT picks them up. Use big Black permanent markers so the signs are visable and House is easy to find.We alwasy say if we cant find it were not gonna waste gas chasing it! We always did Thursday,Friday and Saturdays. Also, make a free pile maybe junk you think cant sell-People love to know when their is something free.I also would suggest a giant cooler filled with ice and bottled water. It sells good and food items-believe it or not since the economy is down people are stocking up on necessities instead of luxuries-and looking for great deals. We are always yardsaling if not having one.Its our entertainment other than Auctions, camping, friends and church activities. Also, post on here too:) Good Luck and Have fun! Let us know. In case were in the area we may come :) Also that posterboard is at DOllar tree for a dollar! Cheap! You can also use old stakes from old signs that are blown over or if you live close by the DOT they hook you up sometimes:)

  2. Sounds like everyone is already packin' heat, so there is not much to suggest. Well, maybe ensuring that you know how to use the weapon.

Well, lets say our neighborhood is full of older people with shootem up cowboy mentalities lol Our house is loaded down like Ft Knox. I have a good friend who owns a shooting range also :)

  3. Not to sound like a smart butt, but get proof. Video tape with date and time stamp to prove this is an ongoing problem..get statements from the other neighbors..stuff like that, i woudl assume. then present your evidence to animal control and see if they would liek to take care fo the situation before you have to go to more drastic meaures, like calling the media.

That would be an aggressive way of handling it, but if you have tried everything else, what more can ya do?

Best of luck with this situation.

Well we didnt put up the fence the guy did but I have seen the front of it wide open so they could be going through there. Also there is a lot of barking making me also believe their could be some dogfighting going on.The cops and animal control have came out many times. They never do anything but write it down-They cant even remember the address or how to get there and Its right behind our house on a connecting rd.Its like they have no brains at all and Im being nice.As for the hick/black stereotypical pitbull situation. That dosent apply here.In fact their is only one black couple who live here and they are never here because they are serving tours in Iraq and are very nice and friendly. Most of the people here are older been here for a long time Upper white class-I guess you would call it.All pitbulls are not bad and most dogs can be reformed-instead of put down.Check out Dogtown on Animal PLanet.I wish I knew about this place a long time ago. They are reforming Michael Vick's Pitbulls! They can help any dog-and if not they keep them up to date om medical stuff, feed them and play with them and give them a home so they pass away naturally. Its not the dogs but the owners that make them the way they are. There like kids everything they see you say or do effects them.

  4. I love Sleep Inn.We have stayed in a few of them when we have traveled. They have great continental breakfast-Not some old nasty pastries and some concentrated oj.Real Belgian make yourself waffles, fresh fruits, cereal, milk,oj and apple juice, coffee, free wifi, fitness center, indoor pool and hot tub! Also, pet friendly and the rates are great especially the military discounted ones. Ok Im done promoting lol I just love this place!

  5. Oh my goodness!!! When I first opened this post I was thinking (not really thinking it was going to be) this pastor. I went to Poplar Springs when he was there. I was a teenager and to be honest he always rubbed me the wrong way. I will be praying for their family. They have been through a lot over the years.

I used to go their too-for some reason I quit-I dont remember though

  6. We have people behind us raising pitbulls. I have no problem with the breed. I love them. Its all how you raise them. The problem is they dont keep their gate locked. One time the momma Pitbull jumped the fence and was coming toward us in our backyard and our dog-who would hurt a fly.Another occasion the puppies attacked another puppy and it was screaming and bleeding. We yelled at them called animal control and told the lady who seemed to be pissed that we told her-I mean the poor pup could of died. THey eventually got a tall wooden fence built but they have still gotten loose. One has attacked a couple of our neighbors and they have struck back with a bat. Most everyone here to carries a gun too-I mean they are kids and older people walking all the time or playing. THe cops never do anything and they have been called several times by several people. What would you do? The cops here are sorry or shorthanded or something. We had one lie because he said they would send a patrol car every once in a while-Never happened. SO WHAT DO YOU DO?

  7. Wonder if Im related. My Mom's side is Lee's. We have a big family on dad's and some I dont know on both and finding some I did know and didnt know now. Well God be with him and the family and hope the lord took him before he felt any pain.I pray ha and his family to be at peace and know that he is at home with the Jesus and the Angels.

  8. This morning at 7 am, I was waiting in the living room with my 9 year old for the bus. I turned the tv from the morning news to Malcolm in the Middle. My 9 year old yelled at me! "I was watching that!" The news! He wouldn't let me watch Malcolm in the Middle! My, how they grow up!

They have both always been really smart and mature for their ages. Always say the funniest things too:) They grow up quick.

  9. "The purpose of the meetings is to fight the depravity and to urge the community to reject this phenomenon," said Sheikh Wadea al-Atabi, referring to a Thursday seminar attended by clerics, tribal leaders and police.

"The only remedy to stop it is through preaching and guidance. There is no other way to put an end to it," he said, stressing that the movement could not resort to violence after a series of killings of gay men in Baghdad.

Sheikh Dawud al-Enezi, a Sadr movement leader, said "we must correct the morals of the nation. Homosexuality is a disaster that has come to the community."

Iraqi militias have been using a particularly brutal form of torture against homosexual men that involves gluing their buttocks together and feeding them laxatives.

“An anti-gay group uses a very strong form of glue that if applied, sticks to the skin so tight that it can only be removed surgically” Yenar Mohamed, the first human rights activist to reveal this issue, told AlArabiya.

"After the buttocks have been glued together, the victim is given a laxative," Mohamed added. Because they are not able to defecate, the diarrhea eventually leads to death.

It said that as many as 25 boys and men had been killed in Baghdad alone because they were either gay or believed to be amid concerns that religious leaders may be inciting violence against Iraq's gay community.

    Story here

Its disgusting! You think that the world is begining to be more accepting of things. Then you have this, or the beatings, our rights to be married,Or even adopting children. It makes me so mad.The pray the Gay out-Its ridiculous. I have actually tried it at a younger age and trust me it dosent work! I was always raised in church.I have always loved Jesus. There is nowhere in the bible that says anything about homosexuality. The word wasnt even invented or named until 1869. Its such a negative word.I would rather be called Gay. I dont even like Lesbian or Homosexual because it reminds me of the negative and sexual things. It to me it is love spiritual, mental, emotional and sexual last but only if you are married and doing it in connection with God.We are all connected with him.He is the first love and relationship. If you do not have one with him your relationships will be doomed. We are a 3-tierd rope-(Father,son,Holy Ghost-You and then your other half.

  10. Last night in TKD class we were talking about tanning and sunburns. I told them about the time my fair skinned dumb self used CRISCO to try to get a tan. BIG mistake.

LOL I did the exact same thing in Highschool-Some MEAN People told me you could tan well! I had 3rd degree burns blisters on blisters and they popped it was nasty. I was so sick.I was very gullible.I thank God for wisdom as I have gotten older:)

I Attempted to clean the top of my (soon to be inlaws) gigantic 90,000 5th wheel camper -which I had no business doing but I was the thinnest one so they needed me to.Well half way to the end I slipped and fell and legs went up in the air and It scared the crap out of me.It was funny afterwards but now,It hurts a little. That and I thought I was going to break the awning. Also, had QED mom watching me to make sure I wouldnt fall and to keep me hydrated and while rinsing I sprayed her not paying attention, but she didnt get mad she laughed and said it felt good-It was 90 degrees! I sprayed myself too.Thank God I remembered sunblock!

  11. Wow. This is a story. I will admit the guy could sing Queen's music, that's for sure. Prolly could make Queen into a contemporary group.

    News story.

That would be great! Maybe doing a song or 2 but not joining. He is good enough to be on his own so that AI Dosent control what he can and cant do. He is amazing and I cant wait to buy his first cd:)

As for a legion-I checked one out down here and it was full of cigarette smoke and alcohol. That and some old man hit up on me lol I did get some bbq once at the Masonic Lodge where QED brother is and it tasted like pinestraw smothered in bbq sauce. The sweet tea was good though lol.

  14. Well sometimes its a big drawn out and boring thing. You can always make it fun with loud music,a cool drink and then when you get finished you can have a yardsale and make some cash money if you need it for a bill or to go out. Plus, I always feel great when the house is clean and organized.

If I had my druthers I'd have a gyro from Shipfeiffer's (sp?) on Peachtree in downtown Atlanta, with extra sauce on the side. That or some ribs from the Rendevous in Memphis, or fried clams from Farnham's in Essex, Mass.

Needless to say, we're having leftover chili. :D

I havent had a gyro in Years. Well Chili is good leftover. You can pour it over fritos and sprinkle cheese on it or make chili dogs.

  20. I just wanted to give a quick shout out to Steven who owns Johnboy Automotive! :yahoo: :clapping:

He fixed my husband's car today and we are more than impressed with his quick turn around time, quality service, and GREAT prices!! We took it to another local place first since it was close to our house (big mistake!) and I was in sticker shock when they gave us the total for the repair. I gave Steven a quick call and he was able to do the exact same job for almost 70% less that what the "big guys" were charging!! It was unbelievable. We were happy to make the 45 minute drive to go see Steven.

It is nice to actually find an HONEST mechanic that does quality work... After being "played" by the big guys like we were yesterday, we will not be going to anyone but JBA!

AMEN!!!!! I love Johnboy! We have taken our cars a couple of times and he is always HONEST,VERY GOOD PRICE,and down to earth. All around nice guy. I wish I would of known him years ago!! I have had some lemons but then I got a 05 Toyota and its great on gas so Im thankful for that and no major problems! I dont know what I would do without Steven!
