LOL! I don't know any factual info other than the building is a mess! But those on the scene indicated it was an 18yo, and alcohol was involved. I also read in another post that a wonderful mother in the community (note the tiniest bit of sarcasm there) was freely providing alcohol to underage youth. I wondered if perhaps those two things might be related.
The idea that they had come from a bar was simply guessing possibilities seeing as all they have in Braswell are 3 -- or is it 2 now -- bars, a liquor store, a convenience store, and a police department. I don't even see a church in the city limits!
The info will come out. Any way you look at it, someone screwed up and luckily no one died.

pmom, what i am asking is earlier someone said they heard it was a 18 year old, thus explains the running, but also someone said that they came from the bar, since this has been a bar frequented by the police, ahha my dear watson, the plot thickens does it not..could it have been..?

HMM? Hit and run newbie posters. Think they might know this person? Could it be their Buddy Ol' Pal? Maybe upset Mommy?
So, those who know this person. If you feel so strongly that they are in the right to run through a building and then try to run from the scene (until the truck just broke down on them), then tell us all why it is okay to hit and run at any time? I am curious. After all, I might accidentally run over someone and I need to know when it is permited to run and avoid paying any consequences.

My children are well aware that I expect them to take the consequences of their actions. Ask them. They know good and well I will let them sit in jail if they break the law. They also know I will provide a safe ride home at any time to keep them from being in these messes.
Guess what? My kids don't do those things! I have gotten calls when they are where they shouldn't be, doing what they shouldn't, etc. And I never had one come home after running through a building. The consequence of dealing with me and their dad is a lot worse than going to jail if they drink and drive. They may make it home in that condition, but they may not make it back out!
After all, we have lost family members to drunk drivers. A BIG pet peeve of mine............................................................................

..................................none of the above, newbies gotta start somewhere, not condoning any of it, have also lost love ones to drunk drivers if guilty they should be hung in public but also have had close friends wrongly acussed,.was this a teenager? starting to sound more and more like it was 5-o???????????????????????????????????????

SURE YOU OR THEY HAVE, BY THE WAY THIS HAPPENED AT WHAT 4:30 ISH, WHAT TIME DOES THAT POPO BAR CLOSE, I FIND IT HARD TO BELIEVE THAT THIS PERSON WAS AT A LOCAL BAR TIL 4 OCLOCK OR LATER THIS IS PAULDING CO. ATLANTA MAYBE, HOPEFULLY OUR ILLUSTRIUS PAULDING CO, PAPER WILL GIVE US THE STORY NEXT WEEK, ALSO IF THIS WERE NOT A COP AND THEY WERE AT THE BAR WHAT HAPPENED FRIENDS DON'T LET FRIENDS DRIVE DRUNK, REMEMBER WHAT YOUR MAMA TOLD YOU ABOUT THE WORD ASSUME..oh, Lord! We never said ANYTHING bad about the driver.

........what ever happen to innocent until proven guilty, yes its sad that these people have had and interuption to there business and damage to there property, but not one of you have said a word about the driver of the vehicle, are they hurt,dead,alive, what? this could have happened to any one of us. please hold your stones until the hole story comes out. i don't know anyone involved, the building owners and as of now the driver who crashed, but i for one will pray for eveyone involved..................please join me....................?

Someone drove thru Salon 61 across from A & R Shopette this morning at 4:05am. Apparently they had been at the "Braswell Palace" and left "DRUNK" and drove right thru it. I do not have a name of the person that did this, I just thought the Burnt Hickory community would like to know.

........................ i think i went to school with this guy, once the teacher asked him to make sentence with the word "hotel" and he said something to the effect that he had crabs and his girlfriend (the hotel) everybody........................................just for fun......................
