I've been taking my children to Dr. Sharon for awhile now, and I think I'm in love. My kids are complete opposites, but they're both treated with tlc and respect! Can you believe it? A dentist that treats those mere little crumbsnatchers with respect?!? My daughter - she's easy. Clean her teeth twice a year and that's all she needs! My son though, sheesh, he has had fillings twice now and had a broken tooth repaired by Dr. Sharon as well. This boy h-a-t-e-s needles (more than most b/c of his long history at Scottish Rite but that's another story), so Dr. Sharon works with him. He refuses the laughing gas, so she doesn't try to force it on him.
And Rebecca at the front desk? Maybe I have a girl crush, but I just like her a lot.
Okay so no, I'm not receiving any benefits by posting this, but I do have an idea: I want her to become a FAMILY DENTIST! I can't pretend that I'm 17 anymore, since I'm 31, so all I can do is post this in hope that they see my request! I wonder how many other folks on here would want Dr. Sharon as their dentist as well... Maybe we can sign a petition! Oh, I know! If that doesn't work we could go on a Flossing Strike! Hmmm.........the ideas are coming, they're just not good ones yet.
I just want Dr. Sharon's tlc for myself too, I'm a baby when it comes to dental work!

Thanks everybody for your kindness. I'm doing what I feel is best, and I don't need negativity, so I really appreciate your support. The kids and I will be fine, we still have our little weiner doggy here. She's going to be S-P-O-I-L-E-D now...

Hannah's moving out tomorrow, she's going to live with a good friend of mine who loves her dearly and lives alone. She could use the company as well as a guard dog (her ex beat her, I hope Hannah will bring her peace of mind).
Thanks to everyone who offered advice, luck and love. We'll miss her (I'm crying again) but I think it's for the best...

Of course today there was a news report of a 5-yr-old being killed by a rottweiler. (I've NEVER seen Hannah act agressively towards a child, she's given warning growls but that's it.) Now my neighbor will see that on the news and......oh geez. I wish I could feel good about keeping her, she and my other dog are my 3rd and 4th children. But, the fact is that I'm not sure she'd be safe here anymore. I doubt the neighbor would do anything, but I can't be sure, and her safety is what's most important. I can see his point of view, if I didn't know her disposition I'd be nervous too I guess.
I cried all day yesterday, my eyes are swollen and ugly now. Thanks, MizCue, for the sweet words about our love for Hannah. Yeah, we do adore her. And yes, that's my little girl with her.

She's 9 yrs young, spayed and loves being part of the family. Absolutely house-broken, well-disciplined and affectionate, loves to play fetch with the tennis ball almost as much as she loves napping. Hannah has a very wise disposition, knows when to be an intimidating guard dog and yet allows my 2-yr-old niece to "cuddle" with her the way hyper toddlers do. She was raised by my close friend who always owned cats as well, so it's a safe bet that Hannah would do well with cats in the home. She currently lives in my home with a large backyard, two children and a small dog.
The reason I need to find her a new home is because she detests the two dogs across the street, and has gotten out of the house twice to go after them. My neighbor is afraid, the situation is causing drama, and my solution is to find her a new home. Hannah gets along really well with most other dogs, but like people.....there are some that just rub her the wrong way.
So, if you think you'd be interested in adopting Hannah, here's what I want to know:
1) Do you have a fenced yard for her?
2) Are you capable of caring for a rottweiler?
3) She has mild arthritis in her front, right paw which only slows her slightly the first 20 minutes or so in the morning. Plus, she's 9-yrs-old. You realize she's not a puppy, right?
4) Will she be an inside dog?

Anybody have any idea how much it would cost to have all that glass replaced? I just 'assumed' it would be cheaper to replace the entire door.
Hey girl, keep in mind that doors to Ken are like your man's specialty to your man. Not a big deal to install, he installed the same doors in my sister's house. He didn't think they were very expensive for the whole set, and I'd be GLAD to send him over - anything for you girl!!

I had moderate sleep apnea, used a c-pap. Like many of you, the mask & nasal cannula would wake me up more during the night than the apnea so I wouldn't use it most of the time (BAD girl!).
Last April, my ENT took a weed-whacker to the back of my throat and nose. Ok, not literally... She removed my tonsils and uvula, trimmed my palate a LOT, and corrected my deviated septum. Let me tell ya, folks: it's nice to be able to actually SLEEP at night like "normal" people do! This week I've been running on 4 - 5 hours per night, and I'm a little tired, sure - but I'm not dragging like I would have been two years ago.
Some people aren't good candidates for the surgery, but based on my experience I'd recommend anyone with sleep apnea to get their sleep study results sent to a reputable ENT and have a consultation!!

Okay for any of you who know my daughter, you'd SOOOO better not let on that you know this....lol. Her pits started stinking when she was around 7 months old! WTH, right? Yeah! She's almost 10 yrs old now, and very VERY familiar with a stick of deo. If she can't find hers she'll steal mine, lol. She doesn't want to be known as the stinky girl!!

Just finished mine, WHEW!!! Started this morning, haven't changed out of my jammies, only left the desk to stretch, eat and potty. You like that mental picture???

I saw this kid when he was walking on Goldmine towards 278, Mama was sitting in her car way behind him, on the other side of the road, laughing. WTF?? At that time in the morning, people are racing towards the four-lane, nobody drives the speed limit! If this was a TEEN, perhaps I'd just roll my eyes at his mother's parenting choices, but this boy was no older than a 3rd grader and he was in danger and looked scared out of his mind. SHE was causing danger to other people as well, by sitting on the side of the road like that and with everyone rubber-necking to figure out WTH was going on with this kid.
NO, HWY 278 ins't I-75, but the speed limit is 65mph with no stop lights for many miles so it may as well be. Plenty of commuters, large trucks and hurried parents to miss a frightened CHILD walking by himself to school.

You aren't old school, you just like good music! I love all the above, AND (really old school) the good old fifties rock and roll. Just got back from Myrtle Beach, and hope to go back 4/29 for the Shag Fest! (SOS-shagging on the surf).. That, to me, is good music and good dancing. (Can you tell I kinda grew up around there?)
Have you ever seen "Shag" the movie, with Bridget Fonda, Phoebe Cates, and others? It's a classic to me!!

A day after reading this I still can't get this little girl out of my head. She's my son's age. I think about all the little girls in his class with their braids and toothless grins and it just breaks my heart for her, and for all the other little girls and boys who have to endure this kind of crap.
I'm vigilant when it comes to watching over my children and the children that are entrusted in my care. I wish I could think of something that I could do to help those other kids' pain, I'll continue to pray. Those poor babies...

Ok I'm still so pissed about this. RRrrrrrrrgh! 20 freakin years is the max? She's RUINED her daughter's life, she has stripped her child of her innocence, something that girl will NEVER get back. No amount of therapy will erase what has been done to her. Sure, the hag got busted this time, but who knows how many times she made a few bucks without getting caught??? And what about those other children of hers? Thank the good Lord they're out of her hands now.

It's going to take a long time for this baby to heal, if ever. I wonder how she'll feel 20 years from now. I don't even want to guess how long "Mama" has been prostituting her daughter out for pictures and sex.I feel like I'm gonna puke. Some people should just be shot.
