  1. Its a nice idea. However with the economy the way it is, I don't know if it would really work. I'm sorry to drag ya down, just trying to be honest. Best of luck to you though. :D

No need to apologize, I had thought about that to. Appreciate the honesty.

  2. I think that would be great, but another option would be if you assembled them in advance - they could pick the one they like and stick in their own photos? That way, you can do the work ahead of time and they would know exactly what they're getting... just brainstorming. ^_^

But that sounds like a great service if you are really good at it. I would think that for a 20-page layout, you should charge anywhere from $50-$100, depending upon what embellishments you will be using, and the level of detail.

I'm assuming you mean scrapbook, as in photo album? Most scrapbooks I see don't actually have anything in them but photos... ;)

Thanks for the feedback, and yes I mean scrapbook as in photo album. Would love to show you one that I did of my Dad's side of the family. It has journal entries from my grandpas diary written in the 40's and 50's, it has the obituaries from the papers, neat poems about the family business (farming) not to mention the photos. Thanks again for the input and the prices are about what I was thinking.

  3.

When I was working full time I could never find time to do any scrapbooking. With the hours at work, kids, house and husband to deal with there was never any time, not to mention the space to spread things out, for the 10 minutes I may have found between dishes and bed. I am sure I'm not alone in this.

Ok I had this thought...ya usually that is a scary thing, but anyway here goes.

To supplement my income I could do scrapbooks. The "customer" would supply the book and sorted pics. I would crop photos and decorate the pages, and either leave space for the "customer" to add comments or for a additional fee they could tell me what they want written.

And of course I would have sample books for people to see what I can do.

Is it something that people would want?

I have a price range in mind per page, but if you were interested, how much do you think is fair?

Be honest. I have had people ask me to do their books but I do realize this would not be for everyone.

  4. There is a guy on 61 between ridge rd and hiram sudie he was reasonable on his wood a couple yrs ago. He has a sign up on the left if you are heading south. We bought our own splitter so we cut our own now. We heat our whole house with wood due to the fact I'm to cheap to pay the price for gas and there is nothing like the smell of wood burning.

  5. I'm just curious to see, I'm sure this has been done before.

My six year old goes above and beyond her chores - which include keeping her room clean, help with the playroom and clearing the dishes after supper. She will earn extra money by helping with laundry, doing dishes, vacuuming, sweeping. I don't ask her do do anything other than keep up her room and clear the dishes, but she takes it upon herself to do more. She's even been helping her siblings clean their rooms. :o

Her daddy ended up forking our $40 last month - since he's the one who initiated the allowance system. But she earned every penny. :D

Would you like to switch children!!!! I'll give you a deal  , 2 for 1 PPPLLLLLLLLEEEEEEEAAAAASSSSSEEEEEE. lol Mine are 12 and 13 and I can hardly get them to feed the dog!!!!! teenagers!!!!!!!!!!!! We have tryed the so much for each job, the so much a week, and nothing seems to work. They are good kids, they get good grades, and everyone who has ever spent time with them says "they are such wonderful children, they are so willing to do the things that are needed" HA don't they have them snowballed!!!!! They are either fighting with each other, complaining about the fact that "I did that the last time" , coming up with some excuse why they didn't have time to do a 5 minute job when they had 2 hours to do it, or busy trying to undo what the other one did do so they get in trouble. It's crazy. I'm at my wits end. And the worse part of it all is after doing nothing all day, we hear "Mama can we go get some ____" :o It makes me so mad. I'm so glad your is so helpful if the switching doesn't work for you maybe she gives lessons??!? you should be proud she is so helpful sure does make me wonder where i went wrong.!!!

  7. We can help you out. We can replace glass/windows.

We would be happy to come out and have a look and give you an estimate.

    Nemie

Hey do ya'll fix cabinet glass or know anyone who does. It is a curved piece of glass, from an antique cabinet, which seems to be the catch at all the places I have called. So far the closest place I have found that would fix it is in Nebraska!!!! :o

I find it hard to believe the Atlanta area has no one who can fix this.

    A little about our group:

This group was formed to provide interested young people with knowledge, training and experience in horsemanship and showmanship. Other important goals we strive for are to develop leadership abilities, teach responsibility, learn how to operate as a member of a group and to learn good sportsmanship. It is also a great opportunity to make friends. This is a 4-H sponsored youth group and our program is based on guidelines set by the state and national 4-H council. You do not need a horse to join. If you have children ages 10 years of age or older, who are interested, please contact Annette Raybon at 770-445-8655. We meet the first Tuesday of every month at Bethany Church on Hwy 61. We are very active in the community with community service projects and fund raisers.

Rumor has it they have almost 400 recipes collected for this book. I am so gonna get one of these.

  10. :D well i am brand new to this site have read many times but never registered until now. just to make it clear i have no opinion about either party involved in this matter. but i do have an opinion on groomers in general since i used to make a very good living at it. i have groomed for a large shop outside of chicago a small shop where i was the only groomer with a pet store in front and also for a vet. i learned on the job not at a school. in over 12 years of grooming i have never seen a dog sent home in the condition that was described. or even similar. grooming is a very hard profession, no we don't get to play with the dogs all day it is very strenuous and nerve racking work sometimes. but there is never a reason to abuse an animal in the shop and as far as losing business due to a dog having to be sent home because he just was not "do-able" is just insane :o on average there are 10 to 15 dog owners looking for a groomer for every one dog that is sent home. yes while working at the vet we had some of the worst of the worse when it came to behavior at the grooming table and yes sometimes they had to be tranquilized but a good groomer who has the option of tranq. will do every thing they can to avoid it, and then only with the owners approval, abuse is just not an option in this field. I have been bit by countless cockerspaniels and shih-tzus, rotts, german shepards and pekenize (i never could spell that one lol) if it did happen or if it didn't that is for the law to decide. but as a former, groomer who is already getting calls from former clients in the last couple of days, there is just no excuse, whether intentional or otherwise for the dog to come home in that condition
