I'm asking 65.00 for this swing. My son is now too old to use it. It wasnt used but maybe 4 times. He had colic and didnt want to be put in anything, not even a car seat. So needless to say we didnt use it but a handful of times.

I was told that there was going to be one this weekend in downtown Dallas - I can't find anything on Paulding.com - can someone tell me if this is true? If so how much does it cost to get in?
-
Yep, it's less because your house is worth less. Again, I ask you as I asked Feelip and he didn't answer. How would you feel about this tax INCREASE if your property value didn't drop??? They are collecting less because the houses are worth a LOT less!!! That is not a tax decrease from the BOC, you can thank Freddie and Fannie for the property value decreases. Do I need to type a little slower for you to understand??
AMEN!!!!!!!!

If we were buddies, I'd just show you the bills to prove my point. On the other hand, if we were buddies you wouldn't assume I was being dishonest and I would have nothing to prove. Either way, I'll let you assume whatever you want, stand by my statement, and let yours sit. Have a good day.
Careful. Whitey will tell you that is a mathematical impossibility. For the record, I believe you. I'm in the same boat.
See below.......
You bascially need to find your fair market value - apparently they said your house increased....if your bill is still going up!
In order to find your property tax amount – you take your assesed current market value of your house multiply that by 40 percent, take that number and multiply that by the millage rate.
Example – 80,000.00 X 40% = 32,000.00
32,000.00 x .033592 = $1,074.94
The milliage rate for 2009 was .032372
The millage rate for 2010 was .033592
If not - I would be appealing quickly!

As you can see there is a huge millage rate increase but thanks to our declining property values you might have seen a drop. Just imagine what our taxes would have looked like if we used the 2009 millage rate!

The 2010 county tax bills are out and you can find them online.

I have 5 cans of powder Nutramigen unopened. They are the 12.6 ounce cans. My son is now on regular whole milk and no longer using this formula. I'm asking 80 dollars for all five unopened cans.
The can's do have different expiration dates on them from where I bought them at the store at different times. 2 cans expire Sept 2010, 1 can expires Oct 2010 and the other 2 cans dont exipre until Jan 2011. Please note that the price is firm, I'm only asking for 16 dollars a can - normally 21 dollars a can. Please send PM with your email address if interested. I live in the Dallas area.

My child goes to Children's Palace and he loves it! They are great and super affordable compared to other day cares -ask for Angie or Samantha and they will show you around! I went to many different daycares around the area and this one by far is the best! Most of all - my child loves his teacher!

Bank owned homes still pay property taxes. I do closings on foreclosure homes all day and the banks are our clients. If the person is foreclosed on and the bank takes back the property they are now responsible for ALL the past due and current tax payments. So the above comment about the taxes not getting paid is untrue. I think it is unfair to take away the homestead when we are already upside down and loosing money on our homes on a daily basis. Don’t you think we have been panelized enough?

This is on the County website:
"IMPORTANT NOTICE TO HOMEOWNERS REGARDING 2009 PROPERTY TAXES
Posted : 6/25/2009
Tax Commissioner J. W. (Bill) Watson, III says homeowners should brace themselves for additional property taxes this year and the next. The state homestead tax relief grant that funded an increased homestead exemption to homeowners for the last several years will not be available this year. Declining state revenues during the current recession means there is no money for the State to give the tax relief to homeowners said Mr. Watson. This will mean a property tax increase of $200 to $300 on the 2009 tax bills for many Georgia homeowners. The grant appropriated by the General Assembly and the Governor for the last several years to counties, cities, and schools had given tax relief to homeowners in the form of a credit on their tax bills. According to legislation passed in 2009 (House Bill 143) the grant will only be made available in the future if state revenues grow at least 3% plus the rate of inflation.
Mr. Watson encourages homeowners to prepare for the increase before tax bills are issued later this year. It’s unfortunate in slow economic times to have to deliver this message says Mr. Watson but homeowners need to know now so they can plan accordingly with their household budgets or make sure that tax escrows are properly funded with their mortgage companies to handle the tax increase.

The tax bills have been posted and if you were signed up for Homestead Exemption - you didnt get it!
-
It means that the State will not pay the County the tax dollars, therefore the County will have to find a way to make up the lost tax revenue, Which in all likelyhood means your property tax will increase this year by $200.00 Plus, Just for this item.
I also expect to begin paying for the $65 million dollar courthouse this year, You know the one we did not have a chance to vote for
Do not be suprised to see a school tax increase also.
Great....
-
No Perdue did not change the HomeStead exemption, However the legislature failed to budget for the Home owners relief act thereby costing most home owners $200.00 Plus this year
What does that mean? We will not get it? I dont understand....
-
Is it true that Sonny Perdue is trying to take away homestead exemption for 2009?
