  1. Sharkboy, I'm not being intolerant. I'm just really curious. That is why I asked so many questions. I do not know personally, what J.W.'s teach/believe. Figured this might be a good opportunity to find out. Then, the next time I hear someone, who is not a J.W., discussing the J.W. beliefs, I will have a better idea if what they are saying is truth, or hear say. So...as you say, "ask questions & listen." Well, I've asked several questions, and I'm looking forward to "listening" to the answers. I also agree with your 3 "rules." Just wished more people put them into practice. Especially in public restrooms. <_<

  2. MichLang, maybe you can answer a question for me. I have been told by some that J.W.'s reject the biblical teaching of the Trinity? Is this true? I hope not. If, as you say, everything the J.W.'s believe & teach is scriptural, then I don't see how the Trinity could be rejected.

My own Pastor, in talking/teaching about J.W.'s, has commented on the same scripture, John 1:1, that MaxiMize has correctly quoted. He was in agreement with MaxiMize.

Also, do the J.W.s believe that to have "ever lasting life", you have to be a J.W.?

    Therefore, excluding all other demoninations.

I hear a lot of things about the J.W.'s, but never really know if what I am hearing is correct or not. Maybe you can answer some of these questions for me.

One more question, and this is really important, as a J.W., who is Jesus to you?

    How does a J.W. get saved/born again?

As you can see, I am really curious.

I also urge you to use caution, and let scripture interpret scripture, when studying God's Word. There is a verse in the Bible that says, "There is a way unto Man that seems right, but in the end leads to death." Hopefully, MaxiMize or MsHutley

can tell you where to find that verse in the Bible. I can remember a lot of what I read, then can't remember exactly where in the Bible I read it. I do understand the meaning of that verse, though.

One verse I do remember is 2 Tim. 2:7, "Reflect on what I am saying, for the Lord will give you insight into all this". Whenever I pick up God's Word, this is my prayer. I will pray this for you, as you study God's Word.

I know I have asked you several questions, but I really would appreciate answers.

  3. Quasi, If I try to give directions to the Steak House in Rockmart, I'll have someone in Alabama! I had to call and get directions, then gave the directions to my hubby!

Have you been to the Pizza Farm in Rockmart! I'm not a big pizza fan, but everything on their menu is excellent! Especially their home made bread, steaks, salads, etc. I think it has been open for, oh...about a hundred years now!

  4. I personally prefer Cat Fish Den over Top of the Ridge, but have heard others say they prefer Top of the Ridge. You might want to give it a try. It is good, I just like Cat Fish Den better. How about the restuarant at Bentwater Development. Haven't been there, but hear the food is good. Sorry...I don't know the name. Maybe someone else will, someone who has even been there, and can give you a review. Of course, Douglasville has lots of good restuarants! Guess it just depends on which side of the county you live. If you happen to be in the Yorkville area, Rockmart has some good restuarants. I love the Steak House in Rockmart.

  5. Thanks Publisher, you did the right thing. As a new member, I can tell you that one of the reasons I joined is the credibility of this forum. I would hate to see that lost. We all know what can happen because of "one bad apple". I respect / appreciate you taking action so quickly.
