  1. Millcreek this is a great thread for the citizens of Mayberry, Pcom. Thanks for sharing.

I think some might do well to go read up on the Pcom rules for posting in a Commerce Members thread. Otherwise, I'm sure we could change their thoughts artificially. :D

  2. Thanks for posting the link...it is worth bumping up so everyone understands the rules... ;)

    Scarlet

PS...there are many, many people on p.com who deserve mayberry's for the kindness they show to others not only here on p.com, but in real life helping others. :air_kiss:

You're welcome Scarlet. The rules are pinned at the top of the County Wide Forum so that everyone on pcom can go there and refresh their memory from time to time. :) We like all to play by them, and travel safely thru Mayberry together.

  3. I tried it but because of his age it wouldn't give me any info online. I will be calling first thing tomorrow

Thank you for all of the other sites. I will check them out.

I would run it through on your SSN# or whichever parent would normally be listed as "guarantor" on your minor child's bill.

Maybe you'll be lucky and get a live person when you call. They instructed me on their auto system to go through the website first.

  4. I just tried it and it asked for my credit card number. Is there a way around giving it out?

Did you try this one? https://www.annualcreditreport.com/cra/index.jsp

I've used it before and it's 100% free. They do have to verify that you are who you say you are. It is works in conjunction with the three major credit monitoring companies: Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion. It's completely safe to use this website. Take your time and read your prompts. You'll be able to print all the reports it runs. If you find a discretion it will tell you how to resolve it. I believe it is thru Equifax that you can put the "fraud alert" on your (or your son's) information for free as well.

here are a few other helpful sites:

    http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/microsites/idtheft/

this one walks you thru what all to do:

    http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/conline/pubs/credit/idcrisis.shtm

ALSO -- the annualcreditreport.com website will print you out your credit reports, but they will not give you your "credit score." You have to pay to receive a credit score, but for the purpose of what you're trying to find out it's really not necessary.
