let me just say this is the best creation/idea/pattern/etc. As a mother of 5 I had never seen or heard of these sleep sacks. I was looking for baby patterns and saw this was a recommendation for babies to help reduce possible suffocation/problems/sids/etc. We always 'bug' wrapped (as my husband call it, lol) our kids. This worked great at keeping the baby warm and feeling secure but with all of our kids they would eventually un wrap/kick off the blanket. My son is now a week old and this sleeper sack is perfect! The first night we used it was the best night he slept so Im going to make a dozen for him
I think whats great about it is that he is still warm and secure feeling but unlike the blanket he can kind of stretch/kick and still get back to the warm/secure feeling bc the sack obviously doesnt come un-wrapped or come off. Just thought I would share my experience/opinion with this sleeper sack

my son is an october baby and he loves halloween stuff too. I bet she will wear it. Do you want ties on it or just the ear flaps?
just ear flaps. You know she is going to be a teacher and I think she is going to make a great one because of the way she loves the holidays and things. She is actually taking an art for children class at school and brings me home stuff to put on the frig. I asked her was she in college or kindergaten lol, but I'm glad she has the personality she has. She loves kids and they love her.
oh that is so sweet, dont you love it though. I hope my kids will still bring me artwork when they are 20. lol

Can you make them in any color combinations? I would love 2 hats to fit a 1 year old but what I would really like is black and yellow as my husband is in the Army and currently in Afghanistan and I think his youngest having Army colored hats would be neat.
yes I can make any color combo in any of the styles but If I dont have the yarn on hand then I will have to charge regular price which is $5. I will check and see if I have the right yellow. I know I have black.

I want one for an adult. My oldest was born in October and loves anything Halloween. She will be 20 this year and this would be a great gift for her wether she wears it or not, but she probably will.

That is very cute!! It brings back memories of my 12 year old...his first Halloween. He had a pumpkin hat with the stem on top and everything. I think I still have it.
It was store bought, and not nearly as nice as this, though!lol my 15 year old wore a hat just as you described for her first halloween. I think I may still have it too.

Ive cleaned my entire house and I guess im still nesting so I went through my yarn and just started making hats. This is a new pattern and I really like it. Its like a toboggin but a little more snug fitting. I think its called a head hugger hat. You can probably tell by the colors what was on my mind today too

wanted to add that depending on the size of the child some of these hats/gloves could fit them. Thats the great thing about yarn it holds up, keeps you warm and can accomodate many sizes.

who knows but I know she and/or her supporters like wasting money putting signs in my yard without asking...we pick them up and throw them away.
