  3. Bout dayum time! This is the only state I've lived in where you couldn't buy alcohol on Sunday...and I'll tell you what, It's a PITA when you run out late Saturday night (after midnight) and can't send someone for more cuz the stores don't sell it. Talk about a party buzz kill LOL

I VOTE YES YES YES! I agree with Tabbycat, Separation of church and state NEED to be completely followed!

  4. Baked Spaghetti (good for 2 or 3 nights...It's a LOT of food)

    • 2 cups canned diced tomatoes(I used generic...75 ea)
    • 2 cups tomato sauce (again, use generic...less than $1 for a large can)
    • 1 cup water
    • 1/2 cup diced onion
    • 1/2 cup diced green bell pepper
    • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley leaves(You can use dried if you already have it)
    • 1 1/2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
    • 1 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
    • 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 1 1/2 teaspoons seasoning salt
    • 2 Tablespoons sugar
    • 2 small bay leaves
    • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
    • 8 ounces uncooked angel hair pasta(or spaghetti)
    • 1 cup grated cheddar
    • 1 cup grated Monterey Jack

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

In a stockpot, combine the tomatoes, tomato sauce, water, onions, peppers, garlic, parsley, seasoning mixtures, sugar, and bay leaves. Bring to a boil over high heat, and then reduce the heat and let simmer, covered, for 1 hour. Crumble the ground beef in a large skillet. Cook over medium-high heat until fully cooked, with no pink color remaining. Drain the fat from the meat, and then add the ground beef to the stockpot. Simmer for 20 more minutes. Cook the pasta according to the package directions. Cover the bottom of a 13 by 9 by 2-inch pan with sauce. Add a layer of pasta and then a little less than 1/2 of each cheese; repeat the layers, ending with the sauce. Bake in the oven for 30 minutes. Top the casserole with the remaining cheese, return it to the oven, and continue to cook until the cheese is melted and bubbly, about 5 more minutes. Cut into squares before serving.

  5. shan06 I will definatly let you know :) How are you doing? I bet you are staying busy with the baby and wedding! We still need to get together for a craft show.

the free one has been spoken for but of coarse I can make more and I will sell these for $5 :)

Thanks for asking! I'm doing alright. Since the kids have gone back to school, it's just taken me a few days to get Addison on a schedule. So she's a really easy baby now that she's on the schedule. Of course, we all know that there are still the rough days, but they are getting less and less. and the wedding..OMG, I can't believe it's getting so close! Only 5 days to go and I have so much to do still!

I think I'm doing the Ladies day of Leisure, if you want, we can share a table. It's in November.

How are you feeling. It's getting so close!

  6. I crochet. Ive tried to knit but it wasnt the smoothest thing  I keep saying I will try again, it just hasnt happened yet. I have said a few times I would try to get something going to teach some who have been interested but with my 4 almost 5 kids and fireman husbands schedule the time just hasnt come up yet :( Maybe once I have the baby I can get something set up :)

    Cute hat!!!

If you want, when you're ready to have that "class" let me know and I can help teach with you!!

  7. does this mean you got the new house?

Still waiting on the bank. The owners of the house have accepted the offer, now we're just waiting for the bank peeps to get off their duffs and approve it. There's no reason they shouldn't approve it because our offer is $3k higher than the last buyer offered and they accepted it (but the buyer pulled out). So who knows what's going on with that..but I'm getting frustrated. But we've decided no matter what, we're wanting a bigger house and we're in the market. That's why there's no date. Sometime in August...maybe even September...but we wanted to throw it out there.
