  1. My 2-1/2 yo grandson has been on antibiotics for strep for a week but started running a temp of 103 on Sunday night. Took him back to the doc and he said he's apparently picked up a virus of some sort....the temp isn't related to the strep, flu test was negative and ears look fine. Anyway, he ran a fever Monday but was fine yesterday. The doctor said he's seen alot of this lately. :(

  2. My son did not like mashed potatoes, I thought that was weird.

Ellie won't eat mashed potatoes either. I thought her Mommy was a picky eater as a child but Ellie has her beat! What's weird is she loves vegetables & fruit. Give the kid a handful of grapes or some carrots or cucumbers and she's completely satisfied.

  3. Southern kids are weaned on the stuff, probably why I won't touch it, I think it is the devil and ruins children's taste buds for anything stronger than a green bean

Of course you always have to have it at the table for picky eaters, never met a picky eater that wouldn't down 1/2 a box at meal.

Me either until our Ellie came along. The kid will not touch mac & cheese!

  4. Thank you for the link to tanner, it has a credentialing job which is what I did in VA. I hope they hire me. If anyone knows anyone who works there, for the love of all that is holy, please put my name in front of the hiring manager. Thank you.

You're welcome! Hope you get a call from them! Good luck!! :clapping:

  5. Me, too. I'm a LPN looking for a medical office. :)

I'm on ajcjobs.com (which seems to be a more local search for Monster.com), careerbuilder.com, craigslist.com (they have a job posting board), and I check the bigger sites directly every day. It gets kinda redundant because a lot will be posted to multiple websites. Good luck!

Tanner has several LPN openings listed on their careers page. Here's the link http://www.tannerjobs.org/Careers/CompleteJobList.aspx

Hope this helps! Good luck!! :pardon:

  6. Have you checked with Tanner? I just took a look at their job openings and they have one listed for a Phlebotomist that is PRN. The website is www.tanner.org. Good luck!

  7. Just got back from getting Ellie's picture made with Santa Steven. Got some great pics! He's a wonderful Santa...so good with the little ones!! She got upset on the way home, though, because she said she forgot to tell him she also wants a Dora play kitchen. She was insisting we turn around and go back so she could tell him. I told her I would write him a letter and let him know and that pacified her. LOL!!! 3 year olds are so easy!!!

  8. I'm so sorry. I worked with Slim and know what a super nice guy he was. He was always "up to something", too. I remember when we moved into our new building each cubicle had the phone number posted on the doorway. I came in to work one morning to find "for a good time call" written above the phone number on my cube. Didn't take me long to figure out Slim was behind that! He came around a little while after I got to work and was cracking up about it. Thought he was so funny. Please know that you and your family will be in my prayers.
