  1. Book Worm Bookstore T-shirts and book bags? Would anyone buy them???? Before I invest $$ into "official" merchandise, how many people out there buy this type of stuff? What is the price range you think would be acceptable to buy stuff. I am just starting to think and price the idea.

    Whatcha think??pardon.gif

I would not buy them. I don't buy anything with a business logo on it, even if I like the business. I don't advertise for businesses, especially if I have to pay. Now if you paid me.........hmm.

    Thank you.

Please continue studying. Your post has incorrect capitalization and your sentence structure needs some work. If you want a job, you should write your post correctly. It's the first impression of you we have. While I applaud your initiative, you need to keep on studying.

  3. Good grief!! I'm not believing what I'm reading. I paid almost $10,000 for the venue for my daughters wedding. That did not include the caterer, music, flowers, etc. It was only for the place. We shopped around and that was in the low end of average for 200-250 people. The average cost of a wedding is $25,000. We were able to do it for a little less, but my daughter wanted her wedding outside in a garden. I wanted it to be in our church because $300 to $400 beats $10,000 any day. Are we rich? no Did I have money saved? yes Did we borrow part of it? yes Did I think we were taken advantage of? yes My point is...$300 is nothing to complete about in the long run in regards to wedding. Just my 2cents worth.....It's all I have left!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  4. The wind has started blowing where I am, but it's not consistent. Nothing is sticking and it's just wet and yucky out. You probably won't know about school closings until the morning, but I think there will be school tomorrow as usual. I know that BOE people will be out EARLY to check the roads. My family is going to do the usual thing and get up like we're going to school. If it turns out that we don't have school, everybody will have a surprise day off.

  5. Pay all my bills and become debt free.

Pay all my family's bills so they can become debt free.

Set up a retirement fund for me and trust funds for my kids.

    Buy a new house.

Give the rest away to churches and other places I think should have the money.

Not exciting, but I'd have so much fun giving it away!

  6. We use Bow Wow Meow at the New Georgia Animal Clinic. They are wonderful. We went to them after having four terrible experiences (Dog cut, hurt, fearful, anxiety, snapping, some bruising). We went to supposedly reputable places and my dog received terrible care. New Georgia has been wonderful. He comes back relaxed, happy, has a good cut, and no injuries. It's the only place I'd take my baby.

  7. Maybe in New York, but not in the rest of the world. And, for the record, I don't speak with a southern accent. Sorry, you are incorrect on that one.

Sorry, You are wrong. I am a proud Southerner who was born and raised in the South. "Pen" and "pin" are not supposed to sound alike.

  8. I guess because I worked in the medical field for so many years, I view "walk ins welcome" in a different light. I view it the same way I do a "work in" appointment. That means, to me, that you are welcome to come in without an appointment but may have a long wait as we serve the people who do have appointments. I know I'd be majorly pissed if I had an appointment in a salon and had to wait while the walk ins were taken care of.

It happened to me and I was so mad. I had an appointment and ended up having to wait on a walk in. I never went back. I should have told them why they lost a customer and referrals.

  9. We get paid for 9 months and the divide it by 12 so we have a paycheck coming in every month. We do not get anything extra! I also agree this bond will NOT buy an extra supplies for us. I would like to see what they plan on doing with the extra $$$ this increase will bring.

This "increase" will not mean an increase in disposable funds. The state legislators reduced the amount of funds school districts get this year AGAIN. The amount of money the state allots school districts has been steadily reduced since 2002. There are several bills up for vote now which will reduce it further. The state is no longer sending money to the local districts for things such as technology. The district has to pay for these out of local funds. Most of the schools have had to hire additional teachers and paprapros which they did not earn from FTE to educate students adequately. The salaries of the teachers and paro pros which the district earned are paid only partially by the state. The district pays the rest of the salary and all benefits. The salaries of the staff hired which were not earned are paid entirely through local money. For example, the state only funds about 1 and 1/2 special needs preschool classes and their teachers. I think Paulding has about 10 of the special needs preschool classes. This means that approximately 8 of those classes are not funded at all. The money has to come out of the local budget. This includes furniture and all of the supplies the class needs. Every extra teacher and parapro are funded through the local budget. Transportation is funded through the local budget. This bond probably won't buy extra supplies you need, but it will help to continue to supply the basics and move the students to and from school.

  10. Even though it's tempting to feed wild animals near your house, it's never a good idea to feed them. The reasons have already been listed in previous responses, so I won't repeat them. In addition, sometimes animals who have been habituated to humans must be put down, so I never feed them. Enjoy looking at them, but please don't feed them.

  11. 2 cups flour

    1tsp baking soda

    1/2 tsp baking powder

    dash of salt

    2 eggs

    1 T oil

Add enough buttermilk to the batter until it's thick, but pourable. (If you don't use buttermilk, they don't taste right.)

I don't measure exactly. My grandmother taught me and she rarely used measuring spoons or cups.

  12. Always RSVP. As others have said, it's rude not to RSVP. Besides being rude, everything is expensive these days. When you don't RSVP, you might be putting an economic hardship on someone else.
