ANOTHER ONE IN ISOLATION IN BOSTON............
PEPPERHEAD replied to lowrider's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Change has come to America. Hmmmmm. Only problem is that the change he was talking about wasn't the change all you that voted for the Community Organizer were expecting. He wants to change this country into a third world country like he came from. -
Yet another glaring example of the total lack of leadership in this country.
-
You libs are waaaaay too easy and waaaaay too predictable. Stop your whining. You all take yourselves way too serious. Boo Hoo.
-
First Hillary "The Hilldabeast" Clinton, now you have Michelle Nunn. YIKES!!! If this Senate thing doesn't work out she could get a job haunting houses. It just proves that God loves conservatives more.
-
Georgia will fire Mark Richt and hire Lane Kiffin. One year working under the Great One should straighten Kiffin out. Richt just can't beat a ranked team. Maybe Lane will bring his family with him. Haha. Maybe not but it couldn't be much worse than Richt and Bobo. ROLL TIDE

Kill them. Kill them ALL. Sometimes when you have the "big stick" you have to swing it. All you need is a bunch of bombs and a few buckets of yellow paint. Level the whole place. When you are finished bombing paint some yellow stripes and call it a parking lot. Then you stand up and ask who's next. While you're there you may as well steal all their oil too. Bring it back over here so fuel prices drop and it helps our economy. Stop messing around with these thugs. They have always fought each other and they always will. It's not worth another drop of American blood. Just end it.

Post 2 candidate rails against 'good old boys' in Paulding Politics
PEPPERHEAD replied to gpatt0n's topic in Fastread page
WOW. You must be very proud to have her as your candidate. -
You can't make your argument based on facts so you resort to name calling. Very mature.
-
Edit to add: this is the firefighter's wife. I have my own thoughts & opinions. Nothing I have written has been endorsed by or influenced by my husband in any way. Yea right.
-
Really? Where is the one and only ladder truck today? Tactics could be changed TODAY and wouldn't cost the county a dime. If you think your "husband" is working in the safest situation possible, you are just wrong. The NFPA is very clear about staffing levels and safety. Years of research have gone into the development of these standards. I guess you and your husband know more than these professionals. Ignorance is the lack of knowledge. Choosing to stick your head in the sand and ignore the facts is just stupid.
-
Sad but very true.
-
Well said.
-
And to be honest, yes I hope Cobb Station 28 does come. They have two trucks and 7 firefighters. Paulding Station 11 has one truck and 1or possibly 2 firefighters. More firefighters and equipment allows suppression and search and rescue operations to take place simultaneously. Not to mention if ventilation operations are needed to assist with rescue. Take the time to Google NFPA 1710. The facts don't lie. Changes? Better communication system with monitored tactical channels Minimum of 3 firefighters on every truck. At least 1 additional fully staffed ladder truck (one on the north side an

. You are insulted that I think you deserve better and safer equipment, more manpower, and safer tactics.... All of which would make YOU safer???? WOW. You just dont get it. That mentality is ignorant. Nothing has been said against the hard working firefighters. SMH
-
NOPE. Not a chance. I wouldn't last long.
-
Back to the point at hand. Are there changes that could be made to increase the safety for the men and women of this department? In MY OPINION yes. I know that more funds are greatly needed for manpower and equipment. That will take time. I don't envy any Chief in this situation. He serves at the will of the all mighty politicians.... but there comes a point when you have to stand up and lead, no matter how unpopular it is. Any "leader" who wouldn't stand up for the safety of the people he or she leads doesn't fit the definition of a leader. I understand that the Chief will soon be retiring.
-
HEY!!!!! He was a firefighter in the Navy. Last time I checked we weren't sailing any ships up Pumpkinvine!
-
It is your department because as my daddy always said "the hurt dog always hollers". I did not in any way attack your Chief. Military fire services are a completely different animal. Especially when it comes to funding. As a citizen I am very concerned about safety. I wish more concerned citizens would get involved with their public safety responders. I know the budgets are tight. We begged, stole, and borrowed to build a complete Hazmat team. It came be done. It takes progressive thinking and action. And to your point about staffing. There should NEVER be a single firefighter on any appar
-
Wow Mr. Trouble. A little testy aren't we? I do know that it's NFPA. That's auto correct on these phones. I have talked to members of your department. There are still apparatus responding with only one firefighter. That isn't a tax issue. It's a safety issue. Why not eliminate the rescue trucks and respond with at least 2 firefighters on the engine? Your extrication equipment is on the rescue. Where do you get your charged hand line from? That's simple safety. Oh wait! I'm sure you already know that. As stated earlier, I am in no way targeting anyone. It's about safety.
-
And I know a little bit about fire fighting and firefighter safety. I've been doing it for 25 years. ISO rating has nothing to do with NAPA guidelines for firefighter safety. The outdated strategies and tactics employees by the current administration puts the men and women of this department at risk.
-
Ha. I have no idea who he is.
-
I agree Hal. From what I understand the department is ran by a Chief with little or no experience from outside the county. The level of fire and rescue protection isn't keeping pace with the county's growth. I plan on digging deeper and asking questions.
-
Let me start by saying that I do not work for the Paulding County Fire Department. I do work for a larger metro department. This isn't in any way directed at the hard working men and women of Paulding Fire. I started looking and asking questions. I was alarmed. This county has only one ladder truck. Many apparatus are staffed with only 2 and sometimes 1 firefighter. Unbelievable. That is very dangerous for not only you the citizen but also these responders.

Here is a picture of Chad. He was my step nephew. This is such a senceless loss.He gave his life to protect all of us. When are we going to get sick of all these urban thugs killing, raping, and robbing? It's time to make a stand. This piece of $#)^ should be dead today. I will gladly pull the trigger or tie the knot.
