In answer to your question about keeping money while she is in college, NO! I want it to help her pay her expenses. My thought is I have a very bright child, makes straight A's in honors and AP, and does after school activities----that is her job right now-school. She will have the rest of her life to worry about working, let her work on school and the success that comes from that.
