  1. Anything related to Uga athletics...U. of Florida athletics....Anything Crimson Tahd...LSWho....Auburn....catch my drift?

Tony Stewart, Dale Earnhardt (when living), New England Cheatriots, Kobe Bryant, Michael Vick, Oprah, Dr. Phil, Flip-flops with hoodies and jeans, drivers with cellphones to the ears, Starbucks...wait..what was this thread about? I think I'm drifting. Nope. I'm fine.

  2. You have to ask????????

    ROLL TIDE ROLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    [/b]

You obviously have never lived in Tennessee and had to deal with VOLS fans!!!!!

I'll be in Marietta watching with friends on their 50' flatscreen eating a bowl of chili.

    Woooooooooooooooooooo-Hooooooooooooooooooooooo

Vol fans don't go around making up the number of national titles they've won (most Bama fans think the Turd has won about 207). Plus, I'm pretty sure that if Tennessee ever got busted for buying players like Bama did, they wouldn't blame the person (or multiple coaches in Bama's case) that turned them in for cheating.

I am impressed by the number of brand spanking new car flags and magnets that have suddenly appeared out of nowhere on these Bama "fans" cars. You didn't see nearly this many last year when you went 6-6 and lost to La-Monroe. Enjoy the game.

  3. Yep, happened to the in-laws last weekend as they went back home to Tennessee. Deer ran into the side (fortunately) of their car on 75 North outside of Chattanooga.

On a side note, a few years ago I was driving on Bobby Dodd Rd. Seeing several skid marks on the road, I thought it strange to see them in a very uncrowded spot. Less than 500 feet later, a deer ran out in front of me causing me to...wait for it....skid to a stop to miss it.

  4. Here's some of mine;

"Alive" and "Boom" both by P.O.D.

    "Welcome to the Jungle" GNR

    "Warrior" Kid Rock

Plus, I like old stuff from the eighties like "Danger Zone" and "Eye of the Tiger". Cause I'm old.

  5. It is the Oceanic Six, and Aaron won't be one of them because he was born on the island, and was not on the manifest of the plane. I'm pretty sure the other two will be Jin and Sun, only because they'll have to get off the island before their baby is born or Sun will (in this world) die. I think their baby would be the eighth one mentioned in Jack's testimony...the four we know, Jin and Sun (eventually revealed) and the two babies. That's my guess and I'm sticking with it.

Also, I think Jack's reluctance to see the baby will be clearer to see once he learns that he and Claire are half-siblings (remember that?). I don't believe Claire will die, but will have to let the baby leave without her (or she'll have no control over it). I believe that's why Jack was so insistent on he and Kate going back to the island in last year's cliffhanger flash-forward. Also explains the "he" (Aaron) Kate was talking about back then.

Not that I've thought about any of this at all.

  6. Clarence is moving to more reporting and will be on the weekend news now. Karyn Greer will be with Jill in the mornings now as there is an extra hour of 11Alive News on MyATL TV starting at 7 a.m.

11Alive and MyATL are basically sister stations now as Gannett bought MyATL from Tribune Broadcasting. They are running most things out of the 11Alive building, but all will be moving to the MyATL building, which is being totally renovated, in the fall.

  7. Roll Tide Roll! Around the bowl and down the hole, don't wanna see your face no more. Roll Tide Roll!

A famous award-winning song goes as follows:

"We don't give a damn 'bout the whole state of Alabam, we're from TENNESSEE!"

    Obviously, GO VOLS!

  8. In the ten-plus years I've lived here, I've never been able to understand why the people of this county are so willing to wait in a gigantic line for a weekend takeout breakfast at Martin's. Every weekend without fail, I see cars lined up around the building and down the street for a drive-thru breakfast, that while good can't possibly be worth that wait.

Are they giving away drugs or money with the meals? What else could it be? I'll hang up and listen.

  9. All the old WB shows that are moving to the CW will be on Comcast, Ch. 11 which is currently UPN. Some of the premieres will be next week, but most are the following week. The reason that the WB shows aren't on the air now is that WATL, which is MyATLTV, started it's MyNetworkTV season last week and couldn't show the WB anymore.

  10. WOW..tell us how you really feel in your first post!!!!!!!!!!! I have to say you have some guzungus to say what you think about Wilcox!

I guess time will tell and I am guessing it will tell very quickly!

As a first post, it's the first time I've had a vested enough interest and am familiar enough with the situation at the school to post. I hope this job works out great for him and the bus drivers, but with the high praise Mr. Watson has gotten, it would be hard for anyone to measure up. My largest complaint about Wilcox is how he let kids off the hook who did some really bad things...and these were kids who were there for doing really bad things. I would hope someone would've discussed this with him, but it surely doesn't seem like it. Maybe, someone who is a friend of his and doesn't fear reprisal at work will.

As for Matthews, whoever gets the job needs to be a strong disciplinarian first. MOST of the kids there responded well to discipline when it was enforced and was consistent. Problem was it wasn't enforced enough or consistently. The new person needs to draw a line in the sand and redirect anyone who crosses it.

So does Mr. Wilcox with the bus misbehavior.

  11. I understand that Craig is good working with people and can learn any job fast.

I'm sorry to say that is incorrect. He will not be missed at Matthews and if you're hoping for a reasonable copy of Mr. Watson, you will be disappointed. Mr. Wilcox was horrific with discipline in a school that should be the toughest in the county. Maybe his hands were tied somewhat by the board...if parents squawk enough, the board caves, we all know that. However, more often than he should have, Mr. Wilcox let discipline problems go unresolved.

My hope is that Mr. Wilcox will do a better job with the buses than he did at Matthews, but I fear there will be a short honeymoon period of honest effort followed by a more lengthy period of slacking off once he gets comfortable.
