Mr. Russell H. Mapp Sr., age 65, of Temple, GA, formerly of Dallas, GA, passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2006. He was born on June 27, 1941 in Atlanta to the late William & Etta Mapp. He was a retired Superintendent with Georgia Power with 32 years of service and was a member of Pumpkinvine Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife of 45 years, Judy Mapp; daughters and sons-in-law, Roxanne & Mike Worrell of Glendale, Arizona and Rena & Chris Pope of Powder Springs, GA; a son and daughter-in-law, Russell H. Mapp Jr. and his wife, Alicia of Dallas, GA; a sister and brother-in-law, Margaret & David Mulkey of Newnan, GA; 5 grandchildren; nieces & nephews; aunts & uncles.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 29, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. from Pumpkinvine Baptist Church with Rev. Thomas Cole officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pumpkinvine Baptist Church Building Fund, 2156 Buchanan Hwy., Dallas, GA 30157. I worked with Mr. Mapp for many years. Would someone please tell me what happen? I knew he had stomach trouble about 15 years ago however last time I saw him he looked great.
