Sommerville

Margaret Sommerville, age 81, of Dallas, GA died May 2 of a heart attack. She was born on February 21, 1925, in Columbus, NE. She attended medical school at the University of Iowa, graduating in 1951. Margaret retired in 1992 from her Family Practice in Atlanta, GA after many years as a beloved physician. She was married to the late Jim Sommerville, and is survived by her sister, Imogene, three daughters, Jean Sommerville-Lynch, Ann Sommerville-Hall and Peggy Cline, eight grandchildren, India, Asia, Lara, Lucie, Steven, Maggie, James, Emma and two great-grandchildren, Sierra and Savannah.

The memorial service will take place at St. Luke Lutheran Church in Atlanta on Friday, May 5 at 4:00 p.m. with Pastor Gordon Reinertsen officiating and Loving Shepherd Lutheran Church in Hiram on Saturday, May 6 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Ken Rankin officiating. In lieu of flowers, a donation to one of the following would be appreciated: St. Luke Lutheran Church, 3264 Northside Pkwy NW, Atlanta, GA 30327, Georgia Sea Turtle Center, 381 Riverview Dr., Jekyll Island, GA 31527, Loving Shepherd Lutheran Church, 4211 Hiram-Sudie Rd., Hiram, GA 30141. Clark Funeral Home in Hiram in charge of arrangements.
