Reverend Jack Denson Blan, age 81, of Dallas, passed away on Monday, April 10, 2006. He was born on November 23, 1924 in Pickens County to the late William Austin and Mattie Lee Blan. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and was a former minister at Westside Baptist Church in Marietta. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen.

Surviving are his sons and daughters-in-law, Ben and Julie Blan of Hiram and Bruce and Lori Blan of Dallas; a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara Louise and Harold Maddox of Adairsville, GA; a sister and brother-in-law, Louise and Rev. James Huddleston of Smyrna; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 12, 2006 at 3:00 p.m. from Clark Funeral Home in Hiram with Reverend Donald Lummus officiating. The interment will follow in Kennesaw Memorial Park with Scott Willix, Mark Willix, David Blan, Jonathan Blan, Rev. Ray Huddleston and Buddy Huddleston serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Clark Funeral Home in Hiram in charge of arrangements.
