Mrs. Linda Joyce Hammond, age 59, of Dallas, passed away on Saturday, November 12, 2005. She was born on December 19, 1945 in Dallas to the late D. L. and Helen Ray Thomason. She was a well known florist in the county for many years and was a member of The Church at Liberty Square in Cartersville. She was preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Glenda Thomason.

Surviving are her son, Stephen Hammond of Dallas; brothers and sister-in-law, Jerry Thomason, David Thomason and Kenny Thomason, all of Dallas and Ronnie and Darlene Thomason of Adairsville, GA; sisters and brother-in-law, Gail and Douglas Cole of Dallas and Brenda Thomason of Cartersville; numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 16, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. from Paulding Memorial Gardens in Hiram with Pastor Joey Edwards and Reverend Danny Patrick officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The pallbearers will be Kenny Thomason, Donny Adams, Matthew Cole, Douglas Cole, Zach Thomason and Brad Thomason. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Church at Liberty Square, 201 Liberty Square Rd., Cartersville, GA 30120. Clark Funeral Home in Hiram in charge of arrangements.
