Domestic Dispute Turns Deadly on Perkins Road

 

(Paulding County, GA)  On November 26, 2019 at 6:05 PM Paulding E-911 received a welfare check call from Morris Ezekiel Hix (W/M, 72 YOA).  Hix advised that he and his longtime girlfriend, Janet Darlene Osmer (W/F, 52 YOA), had been arguing and that during the argument he may have accidently run over her in the driveway of 283 Perkins Road Dallas, GA 30157. 

 

When responders arrived on scene, they located Osmer deceased in the driveway of the residence.  Once they began looking into the case and speaking with Hix in more detail, it was determined that the two had an extensive history of domestic violence calls at the residence.  As a result of their investigation, Detectives subsequently arrested Hix without incident and charged him with the following offenses:

 

-Murder (F)

-Aggravated Assault (F)

 

Hix is currently being held in the Paulding County Jail with no bond.  Detective Raybon and Sergeant Foy are conducting the investigation into this case.  Detectives are encouraging anyone with any additional information regarding this case to please call (770) 443-3015.
