Help CAYA serve families in need during this Thanksgiving holiday season.

Serving those in need in Paulding County, GA. View this email in your browser 2019 CAYA Thanksgiving Outreach The 2019 CAYA Thanksgiving Outreach is just a little over 5 weeks away. As with previous years we want to present an opportunity for you to help reach out and share God's love with the less fortunate in our community. Last year because of generous support and our wonderful volunteers, we were able to provide 518 families with a food bag and a frozen hen or turkey for their Thanksgiving meal. This year our goal is to provide Thanksgiving meal bags to at least 500 families in Dallas, Hiram and the surrounding area. What that means in practical terms is: 1) CAYA will be ordering the frozen hens to go with the food bag. To help us cover the cost, click on the "Donate Here" button or use one of the other options listed below. 2) Please help provide any of the specific food items listed below in order to provide holiday meals for the families we are trying to serve. Food Items Needed 500 boxes/bags of stuffing 500 - 32 oz. cans OR 1,000 15 oz.cans of Yams 1,000 - 14.5 oz. cans of Green Beans 1,000 - 15 oz. cans of Corn 500 boxes of Muffin mixes 500 desserts (examples include boxes, bags or cans of brownie mix, cookie mix, fruit pie filling and pie crust, pumpkin pie filling with pie crust & evaporated milk, cake mix and frosting, etc. - please no pre-made perishable food items) 1,000 - 10 oz. cans of gravy OR Gravy mixes (no glass jars please) 500 boxes of Mashed potatoes (enough for at least 6 servings) 1,500 - 7.25 oz. boxes of Macaroni & Cheese 500 - 14oz cans of cranberry sauce There are four very specific ways that you can help us feed the materially needy in Paulding County this Thanksgiving.   1.) Donate Food Items – (see the list to the left)  Consider calling or emailing to learn what the greatest needs are at the time of your donation. All food donations must be received by Friday, November 15, 2019. 2.) Donate financially to help purchase the hens and any food items not provided – The hens will be ordered soon by CAYA and the bill will be coming soon after that. Please consider helping us cover the cost of the hens and any canned or boxed goods that we may need to purchase. (Click on "Donate Here" link below.) 3.) Help us deliver the food bags – Please mark your calendar now. We will deliver all 500 food bags on Saturday, November 23, 2019. We need lots of help that day. Please call us or respond to this email if you would like to help deliver the food on the Saturday before Thanksgiving. We would love your hands, feet and hearts to serve with us. Please let us know if you plan to help that day. 4.) Pray – Pray that God supplies all of what we need (food, finances and helpers) to accomplish this outreach. Pray for the recipients of the food bags to experience God's love and encouragement.
