It does come with a track- "Over 18' of Track" Including 12 Curved Sections, & 8 Straight Sections.

 

It is primarily intended to be used as an "around the Christmas tree (on the floor) train"

 

The track can be set up in circle, oval, rectangle, or square shapes.
