Louise Matthews, age 82, of Rockmart (Paulding Co.), GA, passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2016. She was born on February 26, 1934, to the late A.L. Harris & Vera Smitherman Harris. Mrs. Matthews was preceded in death by her husband, Crafton Mays Matthews, Sr. and her brothers, Cecil & Billy Harris. She was a homemaker and a member at Holly Springs Baptist Church.

 

Survivors include son, Crafton Matthews of Hiram, GA; daughters, Ann McMichen & husband, David of Rockmart, GA, Marlene Hagerty & husband, Nevin of Suwanee, GA; brothers, Randy Harris & wife, Floe of Douglasville, GA, Gene Harris & wife, Jo of Hiram, GA, Richard Harris & wife, Karen of Atlanta, GA, Frank Harris of Ellijay, GA; sister, Virginia Coker of Mableton, GA; sister-in-law, Linda Harris of Rockmart, GA; grandchildren, Josh McMichen of Dunwoody, GA, Kayla McMichen of Rockmart, GA, Paul Haggerty of Suwanee, GA, Luke Hagerty of Suwanee, GA, Mayson Matthews of Rockmart, GA, Cole Matthews of Hiram, GA, Maddison Matthews of Hiram, GA; great-grandchildren, Rhylan Harper of Villa Rica, GA, Sladen McMichen of Rockmart, GA, Gage Edwards of Rockmart, GA, Mays Matthews of Rockmart, GA, Max Matthews of Rockmart, GA, Maci Matthews of Rockmart, GA; many nieces & nephews.

 

Funeral services for Mrs. Matthews will be held on Tuesday, March 15, 2016, at 2:00 PM, from the Clark Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Don Rackley officiating. Interment will follow at Georgia Memorial Park.

 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 15, 2016, from 1:00 PM until the time of service.

I knew Louise for close to forty years she was a real sweet lady. I hope her and Crafton, Sr. are finally reunited. They were both good people and always treated me like family. God Bless and RIP sweet lady.
