Clark Funeral Home Posted December 17, 2015 Report Share Posted December 17, 2015 (edited) Ray Lawrence, age 79, of Hiram, GA, passed away on Wednesday, December 16, 2015. He was born on May 2, 1936, in Dallas, GA, to the late Banks L. Lawrence and Susan Ellen Lawrence Allen. Mr. Lawrence retired from Austell Boxboard as an electrician after 35 years of service and Hiram High School Maintenance Department with 7 years of service. Ray was a member and Deacon of Cochran Ridge Baptist Church, and a United States Army Veteran. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Joyce Lawrence of Hiram, GA; sons and daughters-in-law, Michael Ray & Donna Lawrence of Marietta, GA, and Wayne & Teresa Lawrence of Dallas, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Harold & Jeanette Lawrence of Mableton, GA; grandchild, Alyssa Erin Lawrence; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at 11 AM from Clark Funeral Home, with Brother Jeff Childers, Brother Vermon Parmer, Brother Rick Eaves, and Brother Donnie Smith officiating. Mr. Larry Johnson and Jeff & Pam Childers will be providing music for the service. Interment will follow in Paulding Memorial Gardens. R.L. Robinson, Dan Smith, Charles Reaid, Frank Cowsert, Robert Taylor, Jerry Skipper and Jason Payne will serve as pallbearers. Fellow Cochran Ridge Baptist Church Deacons, Bob Richards, Jerry Brown, M.C. Hardy, Jerry Fuller, Larry Johnson, Gene Starnes, Ronnie Garner, Ricky Sweat, Brian Carroll and Paul Barker will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, December 18, 2015, from 6 PM until 9 PM. The family would like to thank Cochran Ridge Baptist Church Family for their love, prayers and care, The Braly Staff at Paulding Nursing Home, and a special thanks to Sam Clark and Clark Funeral Home.
