Clark Funeral Home Posted September 4, 2015 Report Share Posted September 4, 2015 James Olen Rutledge, age 65, of Dallas, GA, passed away on Friday, September 4, 2015. Mr. Rutledge was born on December 7, 1949, in Dallas, GA, to the late Earnest Rutledge & Jimmie Lou Cohran Rutledge. In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his daughter, Mindy LeAnne Rutledge & his sister, Pat Rutledge Woodall. Mr. Rutledge was a homebuilder & the owner of Rutledge Construction. He was an avid drag racing fan, loved hunting, and was Baptist by faith. Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Tunya S. Rutledge of Dallas, GA; daughter & son-in-law, Amy & Tommy Garrett of Dallas, GA; brothers, Larry Rutledge of Temple, GA, Bobby Rutledge of Heflin, AL; sisters, Wanda Rutledge of Heflin, AL, Ann Rutledge of Heflin, AL; grandchildren, Gavin Garrett & Liam Garrett; mother-in-law, Genell Smith of Dallas, GA; brother-in-law, Danny & Treva Shelton of Dallas, GA; niece, Stephanie Shelton & husband, Jamie Winkles; great-nieces, Blakely & Cambrie Winkles; many nieces & nephews. Funeral services for Mr. Rutledge will be held on Sunday, September 6, 2015, at 2:00 PM, from the Clark Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend George Barnett officiating. Interment will follow at New Canaan Baptist Church Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Richard Carter, Josh Williams, Danny Shelton, Brian King, Joe Baggett & Chad Smith. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, September 5, 2015, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
