Clark Funeral Home Posted January 15, 2015 Report Share Posted January 15, 2015 Larry Lane Ragsdale, age 64, of Rockmart, GA, passed away on Thursday, January 15, 2015. He was born on October 30, 1950, in Austell, GA, to the late Thomas and Sara Ragsdale, and was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Ragsdale. Mr. Ragsdale was a teacher in Florida for 17 years, he then returned to Georgia and served as Assistant Principal and later Principal for East Paulding Middle School, Administrator at Paulding County Board of Education, Superintendant of Haralson County School System, and later ended his career as Superintendant of Paulding County School System retiring in 2009. He was a member of Dallas First United Methodist Church Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Deborah Ragsdale of Rockmart, GA; brothers, Terry Ragsdale and wife, Judith of Hiram, GA, and Murray Ragsdale of Hiram, GA; sister-in-law, Jane Ragsdale of Hiram, GA; and much beloved nieces and nephews. A memorial gathering and visitation will be held on Friday, January 23, 2015, from 5 PM until 8 PM, at Clark Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Judes Children Hospital at www.stjude.org, Doctors without Borders at www.donate.doctorswithoutborders.org , or any charity of your choice.
