Romaine D. Hardy, age 84, of Hiram, GA, passed away Sunday, June 22, 2014. The son of the late, Dennis Eli Hardy & the late, Julia Rakestraw Hardy, he was born, January 24, 1930, in Hiram, GA. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, David Hardy and sisters, Margaret Durham and Joan Ratteree. He was a U. S. Army Veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Hardy worked for the Paulding County Road Department and was a member of Westside Christian Church.

Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Hurst Hardy; sons & daughter-in-law, Phillip D. Hardy of Dallas, GA and Jimmy & Catherine Teal of Dallas, GA; daughters & sons-in-law, Sherry & Elden Kendall of Marietta, GA, Angela & Jeff Fose of Lyerly, GA and Angela & Andrew Shutley of Hiram, GA; brother & sister-in-law, James & Maureen Hardy of Marietta, GA; sisters, Jonell Dupree of Hiram, GA and Joyce Hardy of Hiram, GA; eleven grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 25, 2014, at 2:00 PM, from Clark Funeral Home, with Pastor Larry Musick officiating. Interment will follow in Paulding Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 24, 2014, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
