Mr. Christopher “Chris” Wayne Upton, age 24 of Temple, GA passed away on Saturday, May 24, 2014.

Chris was born on April 18, 1990 in Marietta, the son of Kenneth Wayne Upton and Sirena Ann Buchanan. He worked for the West Georgia Sheet Metal and Gutters and attended the High Shoals Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting mudding, his family and especially his little girls. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Wendell and Shirley Upton; uncle, James Luker; and friend, Tyler Lentz.

Chris is survived by his wife of two years, Jennifer Porter Upton; two daughters, Rhylie and Bella Upton; Mother, Sirena Buchanan of Temple; Father, Ken Upton of Burnt Hickory; two sisters, Chelsea Upton Bruce and her husband, Terry of Temple and Shaylin Upton of Paulding Co.; a brother, Skyler Cochran of Temple; two nieces, Lily Bruce and Naveah Bruce; best friend, Cory Kittrell of Temple; and many other relatives and friends.

Memorial services for Chris will be held on Friday, May 30, 2014 at 7:00 pm in the High Shoals Baptist Church with Rev. Marvin Gunter officiating.

The family will receive friends at High Shoals Baptist Church on May 30, 2014 from 3:00 pm until the memorial hour.
