Funeral Director Posted January 8, 2014 Report Share Posted January 8, 2014 Mrs. Patricia “Pat” Ann Clay Blanton, age 68, of Dallas,passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital. Pat was born on April 12, 1945, in Talladega, AL, to lovingparents Mr. Walter Jackson Clay and Mrs. Hazel Catherine GrizzardWilliams. Pat loved her family andspending time with them. She was awonderful homemaker. She also enjoyedwatching television and her favorite Soap Opera was Days of Our Lives. Pat is survived by her husband of 52 years Mr. JohnnyBlanton; three daughters Donna & Paul Gonterman , Sherol & Joe Nelsonall of Dallas, and Lisa Shaddix & Russell of Lowell; six grandchildrenJason White of Paulding, Amber and Greg Thorpe of Villa Rica, Alayna Weldon ofDallas, Lindsay and Stanley Summerville of Carrollton, Krista Bradberry ofMississippi, and Bobby Meadows of Temple; ten great grandchildren; one sister Kathy& Richard Smith of Lynn Haven, FL; mother Mrs. Hazel Williams of Dallas;step mother Mrs. Lucille Clay of Cedartown; several nieces, nephews, and belovedfriends. She was preceded in death byher father Mr. Walter Clay, and one brother Mr. Danny Clay. Funeral services for Mrs. Pat Blanton will be held in theChapel of Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home on Friday, January 10, 2014 at 2 pm withReverend Johnny Greer, Reverend Jimmy Davis, and Reverend Jackie Sandersofficiating. Greg Thorpe, Bobby Meadows,Joe Nelson, Percy Lillie, Richard Smith, and Drew Seals will serve aspallbearers, with Blanton Young serving as honorary pallbearer. Interment will follow at Peaceful MeadowsCemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home onThursday, January 9, 2014 from 4 – 9 pm and Friday, January 10, 2014 from 9 amuntil the funeral hour.
