Mr. Johnny “Jay” Johnston, age 51 of Dallas passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at Wellstar Tranquility at Cobb.

 

Mr. Johnston was born on October 31, 1961 in Birmingham, AL, the son of John Thomas Johnston and Geraldine Machen Johnston. Mr. Johnston was a veteran of the United States Air Force and was a member of Hope Church. He enjoyed fishing, golfing and hunting. He is preceded in death by a sister, Deena Panter.

 

Mr. Johnston is survived by his wife of 23 years, Sharon Johnston; son, Patrick Johnston and his wife, April of South Carolina; grandson, Patrick “P. J. “ Johnson, Jr. of South Carolina; Parents, John Thomas and Geraldine Johnston of Childersburg, AL; and father and mother in law, Charles Neal and his wife, Linda of Dallas.

 

Memorial services for Mr. Johnston will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at 7:00 pm in the chapel of the Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home with Rev. Frank Bernat, Rev. Brent Huckaby and Rev. Billy Bell officiating.

 

Memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2013 from 5:00 pm until the memorial hour at the funeral home.
