Clark Funeral Home Posted September 23, 2013 Report Share Posted September 23, 2013 Hollis Jones, age 89, of Collinsville, AL, (formerly of Hiram, GA), passed away, Sunday, September 22, 2013. He was born December 10, 1923, in Atlanta, GA, and was preceded in death by his father, George (Casey) Columbus Jones, mother, Flora Shipp Jones, and wife, Estelle Hardy Jones. Mr. Jones had served in the Army Air Corp and he retired from Lockheed-Martin after 36 years, as an analyst. He attended Liberty Hill Baptist Church in Collinsville, AL. Survivors include his son & daughter-in-law, Kent & Jennifer Jones of Collinsville, AL; brothers & sisters-in-law, Jimmy & Joyce Jones of Douglasville, GA (Paulding County), and Carlos & Jeanne Jones of Hiram, GA; sister, Frances Jones Rakestraw of Hiram, GA; grandchildren, Ben Jones of Gadsden, AL, Austin Jones of Collinsville, AL, and Hannah Grace Jones of Collinsville, AL; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Thursday, September 26, 2013, at 3:00 PM, from Clark Funeral Home, with Reverend Charles Brown officiating. Interment will follow in Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, September 26, 2013, from 12:00 PM until the time of the service. Clark Funeral Home in Hiram, GA, is in charge of arrangements.
