Mr. Ralph Hicks, age 84 of Dallas, GA passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2013 at Wellstar Community Hospice at Tranquility.

 

Mr. Hicks was born on December 25, 1928 in Dalton, the son of the late Robert Henry Hicks, Sr. and the late Vesta Hunsucker Hicks. He worked for many years as an iron worker and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Ralph Van Hicks; sister, Willena Harris; and three brothers, Woodrow Hicks, Robert Stanley Hicks and Robert Henry Hicks, Jr.

 

Mr. Hicks is survived by his wife of 63 years, Myrl Hicks; sons, Gregory Dean Hicks and Mark Anthony Hicks and his wife, Kimberly Carroll Hicks; daughter-in-law, Linda Hicks; brother, Larkin A. Hicks; grandchildren, Amanda (Daniel) Norris, Jessica (Trey) Ballentine, Haley Hicks and Michael Smith, Cody (Meredith) Hicks, Caleb Hicks, and Rebekah Hicks; great grandchildren, Taylin Norris, Mason Norris, Easton Hicks, Knightley Hicks, and Logan Ballentine; and many other beloved family members and friends also survives.

 

Funeral services for Mr. Hicks will be held on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at 3:00 pm in the chapel of the Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Willingham officiating. Eulogies will be given by his son, Mr. Mark Hicks and his grandson, Cody Hicks. Interment services will follow in the Peaceful Meadows Memorial Park Cemetery. Daniel Norris, Caleb Hicks, Cody Hicks, Trey Ballentine, Michael Smith and Leroy Lenox will serve as pallbearers.

 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, August 26, 2013 from 4:00 – 8:00 pm and on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 from 9:00 am until the funeral hour.
