Funeral Director Posted July 26, 2013 Report Share Posted July 26, 2013 Mr. James “Dub” Creek, age 67, of Dallas, passed away onThursday, July 25 2013 at Powder Spring Nursing and Rehab. James was born on November 28, 1945, in South Pittsburg, TN,to loving parents the late Mr. Eugene Vedabbs Creek and Mrs. Bertha Stephens Creek. He was also preceded in death by his belovedwife Mrs. Edna Sue Curry Creek; one son James David Creek; one brother Mr. RoyLynn Creek; and one sister Mrs. Jean Ellison. James worked as a bus mechanic for the Paulding County Boardof Education. He enjoyed gardening andcrossword puzzles. He was of theHoliness Faith. Mr. Creek is survived by one brother Mr. & Mrs. Bobby(Rachel) Creek of Dallas; three sisters Mr. & Mrs. Everett (Virginia)Harvey of Ringgold, Mrs. Mary Stephens, and Ms. Shirley Rorex of SouthPittsburgh, TN; several nieces, nephews, step children, grandchildren, andgreat grandchildren. Funeral services for Mr. James “Dub” Creek will be held inthe Chapel of Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home on Sunday, July 28, 2013 at 2 pm with ReverendBobby House officiating. Kirk Creek,Blake Creek, Tim Stephens, Mark Stephens, Curtis Creek and Greg Rorex willserve as pallbearers with Rodney Smith and Terry Smith serving as honorarypallbearer. Interment will follow at PeacefulMeadows Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday,July 27, 2013 from 5 – 8 pm and Sunday, July 28, 2013 from 1 – 2 pm In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorialdonations be made to the American Cancer Society at donate.cancer.org; or American Cancer Society, P.O.
