John Thomas Moody, Sr., age 62, of Dallas, GA, passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2013. The son of the late, William Thomas Moody & the late, Mary John Waters Moody, he was born, December 22, 1950 in Atlanta, GA and was preceded in death by sisters, Louise Jones and Jane McMillian and brothers, William Moody, Bobby Moody, Tommy Moody and Ernie Moody. He worked most of his life as a truck driver. Mr. Moody enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren and was a member of Cochran Ridge Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Jo Ann Hollis Moody; son & daughter-in-law, John Thomas Moody, Jr. & wife, Julie of Temple, GA; daughter & son-in-law, Lisa Lee & husband, Britt of Villa Rica, GA; brothers & sister-in-law, Michael Moody & wife, Pam of Douglasville, GA and Steve Moody of Douglasville, GA; sister & brother-in-law, Ann Roach & husband, Russell of Anderson, SC; brother-in-law, Bill Jones of Cartersville, GA; sister-in-law, Glenda Bentley of Piedmont, AL; grandchildren, Austin Lee, Aubrey Lee, Anna Kate Moody and Ty Moody; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Friday, June 21, 2013, at 11:00 AM, from Clark Funeral Home, with Reverend Johnny Simpson and Reverend Jeff Childers officiating. Interment will follow in Melrose Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, June 20, 2013, from 5:30 PM until 8:00 PM.
