Clark Funeral Home Posted November 7, 2012 Report Share Posted November 7, 2012 Dan Pittman, age 80, of Dallas, GA, passed away Tuesday, November 6, 2012, at home surrounded by his family. He was born, March 24, 1932, in Atlanta, GA, to the late, Daniel Albert Pittman and the late, Mary Brightwell Pittman. Mr. Pittman served in the National Guard and retired from Sonoco Products Company, as the Southeast Shipping Supervisor, after 35 years of service. He was a member of Martha Brown Methodist Church in Atlanta. Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Sara Gladney Pittman; children, Daniel Pittman of Rockmart, GA, Matthew Pittman of Dallas, GA, Clint & Roni Rose Pittman of Dallas, GA and Cynthia Jones of Athens, GA; and grandchildren, Megan Danielle Pittman, Cole Hunter Pittman, Andrew Pittman, Kiersun Jones and Kylan Jones. Funeral services will be Friday, November 9, 2012, at 3:00 PM, from Clark Funeral Home, with Reverend Sam Braswell officiating. Jack Hornbuckle, Cy Thompson, Mike Pittman, Ray Pittman, Roy Pittman and Dillon Davidson will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, November 8, 2012, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
