Mr. Earl Lee Moss, age 74, of Hiram, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 in Barnesville, NC.

 

 

 

Mr. Earl Moss was born on April 11, 1938 in Weaverville, NC to loving parents the late Mr. & Mrs. Dewey and Mae Moss. He was also preceded in death by his beloved wife Mrs. Ruby Mulkey Moss, who passed on February 13, 2009; and one brother Mr. Roy Max.

 

 

 

Earl had a noble career as a Firefighter for the Cobb County Fire Department. He was also a veteran with the United States Army. He attended New Hightower Baptist Church in Canton, GA. He loved his family especially spending time with his grandkids. He was an avid sports fan who enjoyed watching baseball and football. He also enjoyed gardening.

 

 

 

He is survived by two sons Mr. & Mrs. Anthony "Tony" (Daphne) Moss of Hiram, GA, and Mr. Rodney Moss of Acworth, GA; three grandchildren Amber LeAnn Moss, T.J. Moss, and Christopher Moss all of Hiram, GA; three sisters Faye Keanum of Weaverville, NC, Dorthey Williams, and Vera Styles both of Tennessee; four brothers Ernest Moss, Roger Moss, Kermit Moss, and Brooks Moss all of Weaverville, NC; nieces, nephews, any other beloved family members and friends.

 

 

 

Funeral services for Mr. Moss will be held in the Chapel of Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home on Sunday, October 7, 2012 at 3 pm with Reverend Frankie Ellis officiating. The Cobb County Fire Department Honor Guard will serve as pallbearers. Interment will follow at Melrose Memorial Park Cemetery.

 

 

 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, October 5, 2012 4 – 9 pm, Saturday, October 6, 2012 9 am – 9 pm, and Sunday, October 7, 2012 9 am until the funeral hour.
