Funeral Director Posted July 28, 2012 Report Share Posted July 28, 2012 Mrs. Betty Gail Jacks, age 67 of Powder Springs passed awayon Friday, July 27, 2012 at her residence. Mrs. Jacks was born on September 18, 1944 in Geneva, AL thedaughter of the late Richard Harold Backus and the late Maudrene ByrdBackus. Mrs. Jacks was a retired busdriver with the Paulding County School system with over twenty-five years ofservice and was member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church of Hiram. Mrs. Jacks loved playing bingo, going tocasinos, traveling, and bowling and dearly loved her family. Mrs. Jacks is survived by her husband of 54 years, Bobby JoeJacks, Sr.; a daughter, Patricia (Darrell) McMichen of Hiram; two sons, BobbyJoe Jacks, Jr. and Billy Wayne Jacks, both of Powder Springs; twograndchildren, Kyle McMichen of Hiram and Kelci Jacks of Powder Springs; asister, Nancy Smith of Dallas; and a brother, Jim Backus, Sr. of Douglasville. Funeral services for Mrs. Jacks will be held on Monday, July30, 2012 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of the Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home with BrotherTom Payne officiating. Interment willfollow in the Sweetwater Memorial Park. The following gentlemen have been asked to serve as pallbearers: Jim Backus, Jr., Jason Backus, Jared Backus,Kevin Cape, Duane Cape and Kyle McMichen. The family will receive friends at the funeral home onSunday, July 29, 2012 from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm. and on Monday, July 30, 2012from 9:00 am until the funeral hour.
