Funeral Director Posted March 31, 2012 Report Share Posted March 31, 2012 Mr. Lamon Garner Tibbitts, age 79 of Dallas, Georgia passed away on Friday, March 30, 2012 at Wellstar Tranquility Hospice. Mr. Lamon Tibbitts was born on November 3, 1932 in Dallas, GA to loving parents the late Mr. William Maston Tibbitts and Mrs. Vera Myrtice Howell Tibbitts. Lamon was a member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church. He worked in commercial and residential construction with McDougal Warren. He loved his family and enjoyed gospel singing. Mr. Tibbitts is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years Mrs. Betty Huff Tibbitts; three sons Mr. & Mrs. Randy (Teresa) Tibbitts, Mr. & Mrs. Ronnie (Patricia) Tibbitts, and Mr. Alan Tibbitts all of Dallas, GA; five grandchildren Terri Leigh Tibbitts, Judson Randyl Tibbitts both of Dallas, GA, Natalie Erin Kasate of Decatur, GA, Marie Ann Tibbitts, and Kevin Alan Tibbitts both of Dallas, GA; five great grandchildren Lauren Tibbitts, Grant Miller, Garner Tibbitts, Noah Tibbitts all of Dallas, GA and Taten Michael Kasate of Decatur, GA; one sister Mrs. Fannie Holcombe of Dallas, GA; two brothers Mr. & Mrs. Labon (Faye) Tibbitts, and Mr. & Mrs. Eri (Ida Mae) Tibbitts both of Dallas, GA; many nieces, nephews and other beloved friends. Funeral Services for Mr. Lamon Tibbitts will be held in the chapel of Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home on Monday, April 2, 2012 at 2 pm with the Reverend Michael Wheeler and Reverend Dwight Young officiating. Music will be provided by Lori Bland, Sheila Chambers, and Barry Atcheson. Interment will follow at Paulding Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, April 1, 2012 from 3 – 9 pm and Monday, April 2, 2012 9 am until the time of service.
