Alice Odean Smith, age 88, of Marietta, GA, passed away Wednesday, March 28, 2012. She was born, September 7, 1923, in Marietta, GA, and was preceded in death by her father Add Hopkins; mother, Ida Power Hopkins; husband, Hubert Smith; son, Lamar Smith; brothers and sisters. Mrs. Smith was a member of Greers Chapel Baptist Church.

Survivors include her sons & daughters-in-law, Travis Smith & wife, Brenda Dale of Dallas, GA and Ronnie Smith & wife, Peggy of Marietta, GA; daughter & son-in-law, Diane Gayton & husband, James of Dallas, GA; ten grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Friday, March 30, 2012, at 11:00 AM, from Clark Funeral Home, with Pastor Roger Murdock officiating. Interment will follow in Cheatham Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, March 29, 2012, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
