Funeral Director Posted March 26, 2012 Report Share Posted March 26, 2012 Mr. James Douglas Crowder, age 63 of Carrollton, GA passed away on Sunday, March 25, 2012 at Tanner Medical Center, Carrollton, GA. Mr. Crowder was born on September 25, 1948 in Dallas, GA ,son of the late Ethel Mae Crowder. He is also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Debbie Ann Crowder in 1980. Mr. Crowder was a member of the Central Baptist Church of Carrollton and was self-employed. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and his grandchildren. Mr. Crowder is survived by his wife of 42 years, Mrs.Beatrice Grace Cosby Crowder, Carrollton; two daughters, Mrs. Nancy (Truitt) Davis, Villa Rica and Mrs. Anita (William) Cole, Carrollton; six grandchildren, Breeanna Davis, Kaden Davis, Jamey Cole, Matthew Harper, Mark Harper and Mason Davis; a sister, Mrs. Brenda (Edward) Fields, Dallas; a brother, Mr. Jake (Linda) Crowder, Dallas; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Mr. Crowder will be held on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of the Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home with the Reverend Doug Bearden officiating. Interment will follow in the Paulding Memorial Gardens. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Jason Crowder, James Crowder, Bruce Bearden, Randall Cosby, Lee Cosby, and Shane Fields. Honorary pallbearer will be Ethan Wiggins. The family will receive friends at the funeral home onTuesday, March 27, 2012 from 4:00 – 9:00 pm and on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 from 9 am – 2pm.
