I am proud to announce that LauraLeigh Farms has been selected as a participating facility in the Horses4Heroes program. Horses4Heroes offers affordable equestrian programs for the family members of all active duty military personnel, reservists, veterans, firemen, police officers, first responders, critical care and hospice nurses and special needs school teachers. Some of benefits to Horses4Heroes members at LauraLeigh Farms are:

Summer camps - $75 discount per child

Private lessons - $20 per hour discount

Group lessons 2-3 riders - $50 per month discount per person (one - one hour lesson per week)

We will have an open house on April 21st from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. for all our heroes. On May 19th (Armed Forces Day)we will participate in Operation * Free Ride for our wounded warriors, combat veterans, military personnel and their families. The hours are 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Activities include demonstrations in natural horsemanship, riding for parents and children, cookout/picnic and games for the kids.

The Horses4Heroes open house at LauraLeigh Farms is Saturday, April 21st, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. All our local heroes (firemen, police officers, EMTs, paramedics, critical care nurses, hospice nurses, first responders and special needs teachers) and their families are invited for an afternoon of free horseback riding, games, food and drinks and demonstrations in natural horsemanship. We will also be offering addtional information about Horses4Heroes and some of the other programs available.

I would so be jumping on this if MaryBeth was going to be here! She loves you and your horses like crazy. Her Dad is active duty military which is why she's not here. They've moved to Dallas, TX.

Since there is rain in the forecast for this weekend, we are rescheduling the Horses4Heroes open house for Sunday, May 6th. The hours will be from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Remember, this is a free event for all our local heroes (active duty military personnel, veterans, reservists, police, fire, paramedics, EMTs, first responders, critical care and hospice nurses, and special needs teachers)and their families.
