William Wesley "Bill" Leachman

William Wesley “Bill” Leachman II age 72 of Dallas, GA passed away February 11, 2012. He was born May 28, 1939 in Cartersville, GA, to the late Henry Alvin Leachman and Elizabeth Davis Leachman.

 

Bill graduated from Berry School for Boys in 1957, Berry College 1961, where he was active in High School and College, football, basketball, and Track, he sang baritone with The Big Chicken Chorus, a member of Powder Springs Methodist Church, Bill was a principal and teacher with Paulding County School System and Cassville High School, a city clerk and a city manager for the City of Powder Springs and a city clerk for the City of College Park, he retired from Lockheed Martin as a system analyst for 27 years.

 

Survived by his wife of 47 years Louise B. Leachman, Dallas, GA, son William Wesley Leachman III, and his wife Barbara, Dallas, GA, brothers Don Leachman and his wife Beverly, Cohutta, GA, J.T Leachman and his wife Beverly, Big Canoe, GA, Blane Leachman, Roanoke, VA, sister Elaine Lazaruis and her husband Tom, Adairsville, GA, grandchildren Jessica dela Torre, Guam, Morgan Childress, Dallas, GA, Kaitlyn Leachman, Dallas, GA, several nieces and nephews and special cousins.

 

Memorial service will be held Monday, February 13, 2012 at 2PM from Clark Funeral Home Chapel; the family will receive friends from 1pm till service time. Flowers will be accepted or those desiring may make contributions to Berry College.

 

 

Clark Funeral Home in Hiram, GA is in charge of arrangements.

We here at the Paulding County Library wish to express our deep sorrow at the passing of Mr. Leachman. He and his dear wife Miss Louise came every week to the library and each and every employee here loves them. We are will miss him. Miss Louise, please know we are thinking about you.
