Clark Funeral Home Posted January 25, 2012 Report Share Posted January 25, 2012 (edited) Helen Aikens, age 85, of Hiram, GA, passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2012. She was born December 11, 1926, in New York City, to the late, Peter & Ellen Elizabeth Brady and was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Aikens. Mrs. Aikens worked for Rich’s Department Store for more than 20 years. She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church. Survivors include her sons & daughters-in-law, Thomas & Linda Aikens of Hiram, GA, Steve & Barbara Aikens of Piedmont, AL, and Chris Aikens of Yorkville, GA; daughters & son-in-law, Betty Edgell of Flowery Branch, GA, and Theresa & John Lee of Hiram, GA; step-son, Howard & Rebecca Aikens of Cedarbluff, AL; daughter-in-law, Darlene Aikens of Powder Springs, GA; twenty grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Friday, January 27, 2012, at 11:00 AM, from Clark Funeral Home, with Reverend Chris Branscomb and Dr. Gil Watson officiating. Interment will follow in Bethany Christian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, January 26, 2012, at Clark Funeral Home, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
