Mrs. Cynthia S. Swafford age 62 of Centre Alabama passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2011 at Tranquility Hospice.

 

 

 

Mrs. Swafford was born in Douglasville, GA on December 2, 1948 to loving parents the late Mr. William Herschel Jordan and Mrs. Mary Duke Jordan.

 

 

 

Cynthia had a wonderful flair for fashion. She always enjoyed beautiful clothes, manicured nails, and lots of sparkle. She expressed her love of fashion throughout her career as a cosmetologist. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and nana; who loved spending time with her family. She was affiliated with the Celebration Church of God.

 

 

 

Mrs. Swafford is survived by her beloved husband of nine years Mr. Ralph Swafford, Sr. of Centre, Al; three sons Bishop & Mrs. Jeff (Michelle) Morrow of Bowden, GA, Mr. Ralph Swafford, Jr. of Centre, AL; and Bishop & Mrs. Shane (Dava) Swafford of Collinsville, AL; two daughters Mr. & Mrs. Aaron (Carman) Pettett of Marietta, GA, and Mr. & Mrs. Aaron (Teresa) Battles of Centre, AL; twelve grandchildren; two sisters Mrs. Linda Latham of Tallapoosa, GA and Mrs. Nancy Baxter of Newnan, GA; as well as many other beloved family members and friends.

 

 

 

Funeral Services for Mrs. Swafford will be held at Celebration Church of God on Saturday, December 3, 2011 at 11 am with Bishop Jeff Morrow and Bishop Keith Graham officiating. Speaking will be Eyvone Turner and Letha Graham. Music will be provided by Aaron Pettett, Bonnie and Ray, Ty Bragg, and Bishop Jeff Morrow. Interment will follow at Mozley Memorial Gardens with a graveside service officiated by Bishop Keith Graham.

 

 

 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, December 2, 2011 from 5 – 8 pm and Saturday, December 3, 2011 from 9 am until we leave in procession for the church at 10:30.

Cynthia will be missed. I went to church with her many years ago when Jeff and Carman were just little children. Boy, how time flies. Cynthia's birthday is today Dec 2, what a birthday it will be. Prayers and love to the familt.
