Clark Funeral Home Posted November 30, 2011 Report Share Posted November 30, 2011 Billy Leon Womack, age 62, of Dallas, GA, passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2011. He was born June 9, 1949, in Dallas, GA, to Evelyn Geraldine Rakestraw Womack and the late, J. L. Womack, and was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Womack. Mr. Womack was a U. S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. He retired from General Motors, after 30 years of service and was a member of New Canaan Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Carlene Beatty Womack; daughters & sons-in-law, Michelle & Jared Holland of Dallas and Stephanie & Chris Shipman of Dallas; mother Evelyn Geraldine Womack of Dallas; brothers & sister-in-law, Oscar Womack of Dallas and Jerry & Debbie Womack of Marietta; sister, Joyce Groves of Dallas; grandchildren, Devon Faith Harris, Alexandria Grace Harris and Macenzie Elizabeth Shipman; nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Friday, December 2, 2011, at 3:00 PM, from Clark Funeral Home, with Reverend Don Rackley, Reverend Jason Loudermilk and Reverend George Barnett officiating. Interment will follow in Paulding Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, December 1, 2011, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
