Chattahoochee Tech hosts National Junior College Half-Marathon Championship

National Junior College Half-Marathon Championship this Saturday at Chattahoochee Tech's Paulding Campus Enjoy watching the 2010 CTC Golden Eagle Sports recap of the inaugural season 2010 in video above. Chattahoochee Technical College (CTC) will host the 2011 Men’s & Women’s Half Marathon Classic November 19, 2011, at The Silver Comet Trail in Dallas, Georgia. The Half Marathon begins at the Paulding County Government Complex (New Courthouse) near the Chattahoochee Technical College Paulding County Campus in Dallas, GA. The race will begin on local streets and enter the trail at Tara Drummond Park after the runners have spread out. Participants are arriving at 7 a.m. and the race will begin soon after. The trail travels through very scenic woods, over roads, creeks, and streams. After traveling along the trail for about 5 miles, runners will circle back onto the trail at McPherson Church Road and return to the finish line located near Tara Drummond Park. Multiple viewing points are available for fans and coaches along the ten-plus mile route. Student athletes from dozens of institutions in the southeast and beyond are expected to compete.
