bensonfh Posted October 26, 2011 Report Share Posted October 26, 2011 Funeral Services for Mrs. Edna Lawrence Huff age 89 of Dallas, Ga will be held on Friday October 28, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. from the New Canaan Baptist Church with Rev. Don Rackley and Rev. Jason Loudermilk officiating. Interment will follow in the New Canaan Baptist Church cemetery. Mrs. Huff was a devoted and dedicated member of New Canaan Baptist Church where she was noted for her carmel cake. She sang in the choir and enjoyed all of her activities with the church. She was a loving wife to her husband J.B. for 52 years until his passing in 1993. Mrs. Huff worked at several different jobs during her life. The latest being Dietary Cashier and Housekeeping supervisor at Paulding Memorial Hospital. After retiring from the hospital she then became a volunteer in the Gift Shop where she won "Volunteer of the Year" and several other awards. Mrs. Huff was always known for her smile and kindness. She loved all of her family from immediate to extended. She really did a lot for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Thursday October 27, 2011 from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Survivors Include: Daughter: Mr. & Mrs. Grant (Evelyn) Biesecker of Loganville, Ga. Son: Mr. & Mrs. Richard (Diane) Huff of Dallas, Ga. Son: Mr. & Mrs. Michael (Debbie) Huff of Dallas, Ga. Eight Grandchildren 13 Great Grandchildren Two Great Great Grandchildren Several Nieces & Nephews She was a Preceded In Death By: Husband: Mr. J.B. Huff who passed away in 1993 Father: Mr. Dewey R. Lawrence Mother: Mrs. Frances Irene Sosebee Sisters: Mary Lawrence Barber, Cornelia Lawrence Strickland and Vernell Lawrence Ragsdale. Brother: Mr. Buck Lawrence In lieu of Flowers the family request donations be made to the New Canaan Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
